Helori

Born to a human father and an elven mother, in a land less accepting of those of magical blood, Helori grew up on the cusp of two worlds. Though loved by their father, who raised them alone but was a distant man, Helori found greater love, light, and purpose in the grace of their god, Sariel, through the Church of Libra.

Helori lived a long life of devotion to the church, eventually finding their home in a village called Caermirch, where they earned the respected position of head priest upon their predecessor's retirement. Along with this honor and this comfortable new life, they found love, in a human man named Darsian.

Darsian and Helori built a home together, and despite many difficulties their union bore a daughter, Cennil. However, the passage of time stops for no one. Cennil grew out of her small rural home, leaving her family far behind, and the years were as harsh upon Darsian as they would be on any other human--and eventually, Helori found themself all alone.

While trying to find another new purpose for themself, and stepping down from their position to discover who they were without someone to care for, Helori received a message, a request for aid from an old friend of theirs in the nearby city of New Amberlis. Never one to deny a loved one in need, Helori stepped up to the cause, but has found themself faced with far more trouble than they ever bargained for...
