nadira was created after I listened to beyoncé’s lemonade album for the first time
BACKSTORY:
nadira was born on a small island town just outside of the country of pesca. she had a loving family growing up and fell in love with her first husband, kamir, during college. giving up her career, she instead devoted her time to helping her husband as he attempted to career-climb up the elaborate pyramid scheme run by montgomery modestly. though she gave everything to him, kamir's stress and dissatisfaction with being unable to achieve the power, wealth, and status he desired with monty's company drove him from his wife. nadira caught him in the act of his unfaithfulness and immediately divorced him.
during the years that passed after her divorce, nadira fell into a deep depression and developed a lust for violence and criminal activity. she became a contract mercenary of sorts, drawing predominantly male targets towards her before finishing the job brutally. she briefly fell into a drug gang (all-stars offshoot campaign) where she was forced to work for a drug lord, maple. this didn't last long, and nadira took down maple and the drug ring, before leaving her mark behind under the alias azalea nex.
after years of her own dissatisfaction with where her life was headed, nadira met a demi-god by the name of honestly, who just so happened to be married to montgomery modestly. ironically, though nadira blamed monty for her husband's infidelity and subsequently much of her life problems, she admired everything that honestly stood for - feminism, female empowerment, and organization. nadira decided to give up her life of crime and became a devout follower of honestly, quickly making her way up to a high cleric status. she established a very popular after-school program for young girls to teach them the ways of feminism and self-empowerment without men.
just when she thought she'd had her life on track, she was mysteriously pulled away by the tide one day and landed on an island with three strangers. there she met her future traveling party: trill, nikolay, and marsh. though certainly a pack of odd characters, nadira unwittingly became the group's "team mom" and took it upon herself to protect the rambunctious lads as the group's cleric. upon discovering a lost crown from an ancient civilization, the group became swept up in world-level catastrophic events. together, they traveled to calendora, the lost city, reversed the time-loop that the entire empire was in, and unlocked the mysteries of what happened 4,000 years ago.
as they traveled about the world, they uncovered a plot by the seven deadly sins to regain their power and take over the world through the peddling of very potent and dangerous magical drugs. nadira's party and another group of heroes (four campaign) teamed up and took down the sins, restoring order to the world.
