"Bow thy head and avert thine eyes before The Holy Light, The Southern Star, the True Lady of the Crystal Flame, the goddess Solstice."

Solstice and the Southern Star are one and the same: she is the flaming ball of gas in the distance that creates day on Astarad, and a being who walks the surface of the planet. A goddess, she possesses immense power in the domains of light, fire, and air. She is also the patron protector of artisans - anyone who creates with their hands or mind can call on her for aid. But like all power, there is a caveat: Solstice can only access her magic during the day. At night, she relies on her lover, Twilight, for protection and aid.

To the public, Solstice appears open and selfless, always regal and poised protecting Astarad or helping those in need. In private, however, she's a slob who hates cleaning and loves loudly discussing the latest play or opera, regardless if anyone cares. In both cases, she's bubbly and excitable with a huge sweet tooth. Goddesses don't have to eat, but like, have you tasted sugar? Solstice can be both youthful and mature, sometimes changing in seconds, but such contradictions are merely a part of being an immortal goddess who is also a star.

Relationship summary:

Twilight: girlfriend, partner, lover, etc. Solstice loves her so much and is extremely gay for her. Of the two, Solstice is more outgoing and spends more time with worshipers. She admires Twilight's level-headedness and ability to spring into action (even if that action is sometimes uhhh a bad idea).

Ramin: essentially like a big brother, if goddesses or stars had such things. Solstice loves to annoy him. It is not hard. He is Always annoyed by her.

The Oracle: Solstice's mission in life is to get the Oracle to gossip with her. She can see the cracks in his training as the holy bridge between the goddesses and mortals who is supposed to be detached and non-judgemental. In those moments she breaks through, Oracle is a dear friend.

Oz: sure, he's supposed to bring doomsday, but he sneaks her candy and cries over her sculptures, so Solstice doesn't really think him capable of littering, let alone murder.
