Comes from the "modern world". Is summoned to the Kingdom of Askr by Anna, the commander of the Order of Heroes.
Is able to use the mysterious relic Breidablik to summon heroes from other worlds.
Sparrow has a form of "dream telepathy", she has been to the other worlds of Fire Emblem in her dreams. When she is summoned to the Kingdom of Askr and begins to summon heroes from other worlds she is shocked to find they are the same people she has had dreams about for years. Sparrow has an emotional connection with many of the heroes due to her knowing them in her dreams. Some heroes reciprocate Sparrow's empathy and sincerity, others immediately distrust her because she has such intimate knowledge of them which makes some heroes uncomfortable.

Sparrow begins meeting a mysterious princess, Gunnthra, in her dreams. These dreams are different than her dreams of other worlds. In her dreams of other worlds she is merely a spectator, watching the story play out before her, having no influence over the events. In this world she can see and control her own body and see the mysterious princess as well. Gunnthra introduces herself and explains they are in the 'dreamscape' a world that only a few individuals with an affinity for dreams can access. (Gunnthra learned how to control the dreamscape from her Mother?)
Gunnthra explains about the Kingdom of Nifl and the invasion from King Surtr from Muspell.
