Zidgel Dewry

An eccentric and somewhat detached inventor who is very odd when it comes to interacting with those outside his laboratory.  His 'inventions' are just as strange as his behaviors and seem to serve no purpose at a glance, often resulting in his workshop suddenly collapsing from an ill-timed explosion or other mishap.  Zidgel was once a well respected professor of magic research and elemental sciences, but due to an accident during an experiment, his behavior started to become more and more erratic, forcing the school to retire him prematurely from his position at the school.  Kagi's father was one of his students during the disastrous experiment and was tasked to help look after the professor, thus giving up his thriving career in alchemic studies.  Kagi's father kept studying alchemy outside the academy, even up until his own death.  Kagi has always known the weird old weaver as "Grandpa Zidgel" or "Professor Zidgel".
