Talik

Talik is a human "from around" (as he likes to say) who travels with Tarrin, Sharad and Yalin through the world and later meets up with Cerine and Marive due to Tarrin having taken on a special adventure job.

Adventures are explores, mercenaries and exterminators of magical „pests“. They work either alone or in groups and can be hired in various cities.

About him:

• 183cm/6'0"
• is very calm and suave
• keeps an air of mystery around himself and is very good at avoiding questions about himself
• is a exceptional archer and a very talented bard
• loves to entertain the others during their travels with music (both old common songs and his own)
• talks only when he needs to but loves to throw hidden insults around (if the recipient deserves it)
• speaks Ganorian (the common language), Badurin (the old dwarven language) and a bit of Alderian (=elvish)
• owns an Animusorb, which he keeps a secret from everyone (the golden pendant on his head is where it should be affixed to)
• has the charm Sharad lacks
• is asexual & aromantic

About his inventory:

• despite always carrying his lute he keeps it rigorously out of harms way
• has made his own bow and still makes his own arrows
• owns a row of small dictionaries of various languages, a few he has even written himself
• has also plenty of small books in the wagon with his own songs in them

Relationships:

With Cerine:

• feels that something's not quite as it seems with her but doesn't mind
• likes her voice and wants to get her to sing with him

With Marive:

• sees that something's eating away at Marive from the inside
• wants help him with it
• also wants to mediate between him and Sharad but less open than Tarrin

With Sharad:

• likes to lowkey insult and tease him
• tries to keep him out of harms way, which is much more difficult than it sounds
• often plays with Sharad's lack of knowledge of Alderian

With Tarrin:

• respects her as their groups leader but knows that she has a few hangups here and there
• wants her to teach him the secret language of her kind
• offers her often advice in difficult situations

With Yalin:

• they often sing and joke together
• they're also drinking buddies
