Zero, as a kid, was a single child with a single young mom. His dad had left at his birth, which was not long after they moved far away. Leading, his mother at 20, poor and no way back home. Zero was unexpected at the time, so his father panicked because he didn't know how to handle a kid. It was all new to him, so he just left. With that Zero, had grown up with a supportive and upbeat with a hard to knock down personality. Mainly it was because he wanted to cheer on and help his mom out.
Around being five years old, his mom had started to date again. She ended up with a guy for two years that ended up being the father to his sister. They ended up leaving soon after because he had to leave immediately to be with his family. From then on, everyone that his mom brought home had begun to be abusive to him. They didn't like the way he looked or how protective he was over his mom and sister.
Around his 11th birthday, he met his soon-to-be best friend, John. They were pretty much inseparable after a point. They got bullied together, faced hardships together, and called each other for help. Not long after, one of their bullies, Bradon, had begun to be an on-and-off friend to them. By then, the trio was always hanging out together, more often than not. As a side effect, Bradon, a football player, frequently confronted Zero's mom's partners if they tried to hurt Zero. It led to them all being close friends till Zero left.
Around his 17th birthday, Zero was approached by some people that said they knew why his looks were as they are. With proof and a heavy heart, Zero moved and left town to figure out more about himself and how to deal with being a partial Gargoyle. Later he even found out that he can sing and even joined a band, trying to complete an album. He does dream of going back home soon to see John again.
