Profile
[Louis is a character from Valentine's WIP origin story, so his story is incomplete]
Louis was ready to live a fresh new life in beautiful West Sussex with his wife. They had a few years of bliss working together in Castle Arundel as head butler and head maid. They had a daughter together that they loved. She was only a few months old when her father lifted her from her crib and held her with love. Her father was a huge man, and one fateful misstep made him turn and fall, and his massive body crashed down upon her. She was declared dead when paramedics arrived. Louis surrendered all youth and gave into age, grew into a colder, more distant man.
His wife let herself go in her distress, soon began an affair with Auguste, the castle chef. Together they had a son, Victor. Hurt and betrayed, Louis nearly divorced his wife until he simply decided to cease his anger and sever his attachments to earthly expectations for life. His wife left her position at the castle and chose to remain at home. It took years to find reconciliation. Louis surrendered more of his personality and accepted that his role in life was just to be a butler and a guardian of the castle. In due time, he decided to accept Victor as his step son.
Louis is a fierce and unyielding guardian of the castle and of staff, but acts distantly. While the servants tend to fear him (except for Auguste and Ives) they also tend to find that his decisions come fairly, just, and swift. He often comes off as indifferent and harsh but will act favorably towards good workers.
