ABOUT 

Vrexis, or Rex as they're often called, hails from Viridis, though their primary home is on Syntes. They've gone back and forth between the two for most of their life and they don't intend on quitting any time soon. While Viridis is their birthplace, Syntes feels more like home to him, and he prefers to stay there.

It's no big secret that Rex loves to eat; they've always been a bigger size than most, even in their larval stages. After emerging from their final metamorphosis, the first thing that Vrexis wanted to do was eat. All of the things on Viridis they enjoyed, all of the leaves, fruits, and vegetables were still so familiar to them and brought them immense comfort, and he decided that why not turn that into a thing he could do forever?

Gathering up a bunch of Viridian fruits and veggies, spices, and some carefully harvested meats from local fauna and fish, Vrexis set his sights on Syntes, wanting to make a journey to the syntei birthplace, and perhaps share the foods from his home with them. It started out small, but with enough trips to Viridis and then back to Syntes again with more food, Vrexis started attracting repeat "customers", and some curious new friends. It got to the point that Rex had to upgrade the tiny dwelling he stayed in, moving his little business into a building more suitable for food preparation and serving. His own little restaurant, and it was perfect.

With more and more synts getting excited about Viridian foods and how Rex prepared and served them, he decided to take it upon himself to start creating his own dishes and putting unique spins on the ones they'd already made. Thinly sliced vegetables simmered in spicy sauce, glass noodles made from starch that sit in a clear broth rich with spices, mussels wrapped in broad, shiny leaves and steamed with prickly fruit and smokey peppers, are all some of the things that have become Rex's signature dishes, and synts come from far and wide to either try for the first time, or coming back for the hundredth time.

Many synts wished for his recipes to try making some of his foods for themselves, and Vrexis has been nothing but eager to share some of his recipes. It got to the point that they opened an adjoining shop next to their restaurant just to sell ingredients for people who wanted to make their own food. From selling fresh produce to seeds and starters, Rex is happy to share the foods and spices from his home with everyone on Syntes. He also works with a local fish farm, acquiring mussels and other fish from them sustainably without the risk of damaging the carefully maintained aquatic ecosystem.

It's a simple life, but a happy life. Vrexis wants for very little, and just continues enjoying doing what they do— sharing the joy of food and eating with everyone.
