The Greatest Hero the World has Ever Known!
"Peaches - because you're soft and round and you bruise easily."
Once a shy noble girl to an old elven house, Peaches is now a traveling hero who favors the sword and values any good chance to test her strength. As a paladin, her magic comes from self-worship, and the more she believes in herself and fosters the belief of others in her, the more she is able to do. In practice, this is something of an obnoxious god complex she fosters, but it is not without its scaffolding.
As a child, Peaches was embedded with a shard of the dying Goddess of Mercy. Though the goddess had little power to help her through constant turmoil, Peaches has always kept the god company and promised to find the strength to aid her. Having lost the shard since, Peaches still remains in contact, acting as an avatar of mercy both for the deity that has been become her dear friend and to service her own need to have her epic writ down in the annals of history.

Personality
Meat Head
Despite her interest in the poetic waxings of many an author, Peaches isn't much of a bookish type. She'll jump on any opportunity to flex her own strength, demonstrate her speed or show off her sword skills, things she has honed for decades. The best part about an epic hero are his herculean feats of strength, for sure!
Narcissist
While it is important to her that she help as many of the commonfolk as she can, Peaches would also prefer to get the notoriety for it, the praise, the statue of herself at the end of the day. Her narcissism is what powers her magic, after all; she is a paladin committed to self-worship. She has had something of a god complex for quite some time, and while she would never leave someone in the dust for lack of reward, she is always ready for a good social preening.
Frugal
Peaches grew up in a noble house, but set out on a journey with very little. After letting most of her money get swindled in the early days of her adventures, she learned to pinch pennies, enjoy the simple things, and get by with what she can. This makes it much easier for her to turn down healthy rewards in order to look even cooler to the people she's rescuing.
Independant
Both due to longterm neglect and a long time spent training by herself, Peaches is far too used to working alone. She kept the company of a small party for a little window of time, but ultimately she is most used to coming up with plans and succeeding - or failing - on her own. If she manages the former, she looks even more heroic. If she suffers the latter, at least no one else gets hurt in the process.
Wallflower
In armor, out in the fields, chasing a beast, Peaches is the star, and she prefers it that way. At a fancy party, mingling with the elite, Peaches shrinks easily into the background. She has a long history of being forced into social situations by her noble mother, a long history of fumbling interactions with uninterested suitors, and it has left her with a lingering anxiety regarding any similar interaction. Wearing dresses and following proper etiquette is like a window into her past she would prefer to look away from.
Frail
Though she is in constant training to counteract it, Peaches has a weak constitution. She often tests the limits of this in her adventures and, as a result, frequently overexerts herself to the point of being bedridden. However, this does not stop her from getting right back out into the world when her periods of illness pass! There is hero-ing to do!

Summary
Coruen
Born to a noble elven family, Coruen was the only daughter of her mother, of an old and wasting lineage, and her father, a soldier of high mettle but low ability. He told Coruen stories of his misadventures, read her tales of more successful men to fill in the gaps. He doted on her, and her resemblance of him both in face and longing for glory drove Coruen's mother to resent her after the man went to war one day, never to return. The resentment grew all the more after her mother remarried and focused her attention on Coruen's newborn half-sibling, and as a result, Coruen suffered relentless abuse, her only friend and companionship that of the comforting voice in her imagination. She told it stories of escape and adventure, stories which she would abandon as she matured, and would only return to in occasional desperate prayer.
Will of the New God
One fateful day, Coruen's prayers bore fruit in the most morbid of ways, when most members of her noble family - her mother included - fell victim to a soldier seeking revenge for his brother's death. They were slaughtered in one fell swoop, Coruen's own safety coming from a nervous refusal to join them at the family home that day. Now outside of her mother's grip, Coruen fled home, carrying with her a distorted sense of confidence in the power of her will alone, along with a guilt for being one of the only members of the family left alive.
On the road, she became Peaches, god among men, her will unshakeable and her sword only growing ever sharper. Learning her craft as an adventure was full of many trials, many failures and bruises and broken bones mended through magic she cultivated all on her own. She soon became the type of hero she had once admired, her past buried until it - her mother's killer - met her again by chance.
Renaissance
There is no sensical way to say that the vengeful soldier and Peaches fell for one another. They grew close as Peaches' relationship to godhood came to a head, as the god she had known for so long - the imaginary voice from so long ago - struggled to be reborn. The soldier, Varnon, and his companions kept Peaches from getting lost in this process. While she is still coming to terms with her past, and her god is still reforming, Peaches works to maintain her identity as a hero worthy of surviving all of the trials she has undergone.
Varnon
[ Husband ]
You would think killing her relatives out of revenge and being exiled as a criminal would prevent these two from hitting it off, but sometimes when you have a meet-cute in a gladiator match, you just have to chase that whim.
Arol
[ Teller of Stories ]
Met Peaches on her journey and fell in love with her through telling her story. His dedicated epic of her life as a hero went unfinished.
Goddess of Mercy
[ Dear One ]
Peaches has fostered a relationship with the goddess since a chance encounter in childhood. She is the closest thing now that the goddess has to a dedicated patron, even if nothing can be provided to Peaches as a reward for such a pursuit.
