• Dice is Crisis' partner in crime in encouraging and contributing to the madness of Darkened Paths. While the main duology of DP doesn't specifically follow him, he's had quite the run before it and on his own track during!
• Dice is a flirty and analytic overthinker. His lifetime goal is to work on robotics at NASA and be a productive, successful member of society. But after several failed internships and countless online-school semesters, he's wondering if success could have a different definition.
• Dice, born Gavin Warbrick, is a child of divorce between a gay club owner and a woman who left too soon. He's an agoraphobic homebody with an attachment to his childhood home above his fathers business. Gavin grew up sheltered and homeschooled in their apartment, shielded from the outside streets and protected by queer patrons. When he turned 16 he started washing dishes and helping vaccuum at the end of the night. At 21, he took up bartending and discovered "Dice" as his stagename. He thrived off the clubs energy and found a real talent in bartending, then eventually club dancing. One of his nights on the counter led him into meeting a handsome stranger by the name of Crisis. He was respectful and kind, a little nervous, but their common interest in science quickly broke the ice. When Crisis gets chased out by an ex-gang, Dice realizes this is his chance to finally change something about his life. He runs after, defends Crisis, one thing leads into another, and he wakes up in his bed.. in a shitty, rundown shack in the woods. The pair becomes inseperable and turns to crime to fuel their goals and further their lives together. Dice goes on to create an entire online career over his body and dastardly pursuits, which eventually introduces him to Akoni. He pursues him in their polyamory, as well as Crisis-ex, Felicity, when she hunts down her high school sweetheart once more. Deep-web crime, robbery, love and experiments fill their days as they scramble to climb an ever moving ladder. Dice doesn't quite thrive in the gunfire, but he knows Crisis is there to protect him at the end of the day. A sinking feeling in his gut makes him wonder if he should have never left home in the first place.
