This an exclusive Z-Crystal for Pikachu species like Edgechu. It activates with a chain move Gear Grind which is a special move of Edgechu and a move that none of ordinary Pikachu can't learn. After boosting up some Z-power, Edgechu launches an attacking move called "GM's Banhammer" which deals massive amount of damage and gives its user "rainbow boost" by three stages in 50% of possibility.
Fun fact: the words "grind" and "banhammer" are both based on RPG actions which is a running theme used on this character.

- Edgechu's design is inspired by a cosplay Pikachu and a Kantonian Raichu.
- His stripes and black toe markings came from an unsuccesful evolution attempt with a Thunder Stone.
- Edgechu's ability is Lightning Rod which is also a hidden ability.
