PERSONALITY

Elliot Graves was a bastard child raised by a his single mom and former pirate Liz Proctor. They were petty thieves and he spent his youth with an odd extended family of criminals. When Elliot was older he managed to attend an arcane college where he struggled due to his poverty, lack of noble standing and inexperience with higher education.

While in college, Elliot fell in with criminals such as Arlen Theodred and his band of thieves. Arlen acted as a criminal mentor and father figure. Over time Arlen grew crueler to Elliot, manipulating him into attempting more risky and dangerous heists, culminating in Elliot unwillingly becoming an accessory to murder.

Fearing the wrath of the law-and his former employer he's gone on the run, wracked with guilt, fear and insecurity. He regularly masks his terror with sarcasm and a nonchalant attitude, with mixed success. In Truth, he's lonely and afraid, trying to start over.

RELATIONSHIPS

LIZ PROCTOR | Mother Elliot was raised by a single mother, Liz is a former pirate who's got a new day job as a waitress, spending her free time fencing stolen goods. Liz was more like a best friend to Elliot than a mother, which came with some pros and cons. She didn't give him much guidance or teach him responsibility, but she was fun loving and deeply supportive of his interests. He loves her all the same and misses her badly ( and she misses him just as much ).

ARLEN THEODREAD | Former Mentor & Boss Arlen started out as a very supportive force in Elliots life. He 'truly believed' in the young man's magical talents and offered to tutor him in the way of thievery to assist in funding his education. Despite the warm and friendly beginning, their relationship grew toxic over time. Arlen soon weaponized Elliot's poor self esteem, manipulating him into more dangerous and high stakes and treating him terribly before outright threatening his life.
