• Has a very weak immune system.
• She loves birds. (Chickens are her fave)
• Highly tolerant to cold tempatures.
• Mostly nocturnal. Peak hours are evening into early morning.
• The bell worn on her ankle was a gift from Noel when they were kids (because she's "too quiet when she walks").

Mao is calm, curt, and hard to read. Due to lack of socializing for a majority of her life, she is missing crucial communication skills. Often times she struggles to connect and find interests in others. In addition, her lack of expression deter most people people from interacting with her for long. She is somewhat aware of social ettiquete, but doesn't always know how to respond properly. It often leads to her coming off blunt or awkward, and she finds socializing to be very uncomforable and tiring. so, Mao tends to stay aloof and withdrawn on her own choice. While it's not easy to gain her trust and affection, she will subtly look out for who she deems to be an ally, regardless of her level of comfort towards them, if she thinks they will be of any benefit to her at a future date.

• Reliable and loyal. Always repays her debts.
• Easily over-stimulated. Quickly worn out from social interactions.
• More keen to observe people as a way to get to know them.
• Extremely untrusting and fears humans. It takes a long time for her to warm up to someone.

Mao left home at an early age from the resentment of her father and pressure of caring for her siblings, due to the passing of her mother during the birth of the youngest sibling. She lives a seminomadic lifestyle, traveling with two large wolf companions. She mostly hops from festival-to-festival selling various medicines and ingredients rare to the location. When not moving around, Mao resides on an isolated snowy mountain deep in a forest. She has a small store which is left in the care of Noëlle, only occasionally checking in or providing stock, which is located closer on the outskirts of the nearest town. Surrounding villages bring offerings to the mountain and during holidays/festivals, believing Mao's presence encourages good luck and protection to the area. Despite this, though, the townspeople are weary of Mao herself, knowing she will attack if she feels threatened and does not enjoy the presence of humans. Mao is not very keen on coming back to weather worn and decayed offerings left on her doorstep. Though she is physically weak and developing loss of vision, Mao has an above average sense of smell and hearing. Her speed and utilizing sharp objects (nails, knives, teeth, etc) are her main ways of fighting. However, her low stamina levels and lack of interest in fighting means she will likely choose to flee before even attempting to fight if she thinks it will be drawn out.
