Lazarus is very protective of his friends, particularly his girlfriend Meera. He is withdrawn among strangers but has good manners. His softer side is only seen by only by three people (Cassie, Meera and daughter Marni).He feels crime is all that he can do, readily takes on jobs which necessarily involve illegal activities.

⍣⍣ Story ⍣⍣

Born into poverty Lazarus was forced to live a life of crime. He predominantly works in illegally smuggling people in boats. Lazarus claims he has done bad things that he wishes no one should ever experience. During a war in Araissi, a military boat shot down the ship Lazarus and his old gang were in. After the wreckage, Lazarus swam to the nearest plot of land he could reach. He finds refuge in the first town he came across and ends up in Timberglen.

Lazarus believes he will get a new start on his life and believes his time with criminals is over, but with no grasp of the English language, and a desperate need for money he is forced to join the Asosa Raiders. Lazarus is moved up to being Acher's bodyguard due to his efficiency, and his bulky, blocky build. Disdain for the gang's crimes, and pursuit for a new life Lazarus slowly drifts away from them and pursues his own interests.

Ranger eventually sneaks his way into a position of the Asosa Police Department, in which they do not know he was a wanted criminal and one that they have still been tracking.
