🦋 Quail
aka "Blackbird", "the Spirit's Spyglass" - he/him/his

Quail is the textbook definition of anxious. He's sensitive, jumpy and incredibly nervous at almost every turn, constantly fearing what the next day might bring - and he's got good reason to, being cursed by a deity of plague and whatnot. He finds it difficult to trust others, but is slowly trying his best to warm up to the comfort of other people - a somewhat arduous task with his history in mind, albeit helped a little by Mabait.

Unfortunately, a Zigoton is apparently the perfect telescope for a certain plague god. As a result, he's got a patchy memory and a habit of waking up in places he doesn't remember ever going to, and is constantly to blame for all matter of misfortune; he feels like death follows him wherever he goes. He's managed to keep the spirit's eye at bay well enough, though, and it's no longer too severe of an issue for him... although he does manage to break every now and then.
