"Yes, after 300 years, I'm surely at my limit."
The immortal son of two of the country's most prolific and courageous adventurers! ...is not quite into that lifestyle himself. Rain grew up around those thick-skulled heroic types, and while he doesn't necessarily have a resentment for the many summers spent traveling the plains in search of fantastic new quests with his parents, he looks more fondly back on the winters spent in study under his great uncle's quiet tutelage. The realization of his immortality made him listless and withdrawn. The coming war made him...well, Rain's lived quite a life so far, and he knows it...quite astoundingly is not ending any time soon.
Despite it all, Rain has a family and an insistent need to care for others. The divorce is making things tricky, but he loves his three daughters more than anything in the world, and he'd love to make that world a better place for their sake, if not to service his own lofty ideals.

Personality
Nurturing
Having three kids of his own and a history of being raised by spartans to make up for, Rain is always looking to parent those around him. He loves finding out favorite foods just to make meals, offering up the spare bedroom and giving talks to help others through difficult times. He might get a little bit of a high from giving successful advice and then coaxing you back to the kitchen for some warm bread and tea time. And yes, he WILL offer to fold your laundry for you, it's no problem at all.
Reckless
Though it is important to Rain to keep his loved ones safe, his inability to die properly has earned him a complete lack of self-preservation. He is entirely willing to go into dangerous situations with the knowledge he may be hurt, because, afterall, it'll just end up healing. He has yet to be proven wrong in this philosophy and finds it a bit of a nuisance when others try to talk him out of it. Why bother with a decent strategy when you can charge right in without any major consequence? Pain is just pain felt on the body.
Idealistic
Rain isn't much of a strategist, but that doesn't stop him from having some incredibly lofty ideals. He has grown up in a chaotic world and wishes to see it shape into the kind of place where people are fair to one another. He wants justice for all the undue suffering. He wants changes to the system, though there is no single, practical way to install said changes. Just figure it out!
Bookish
One looks at Rain and notices first his well-toned frame, a build which acknowledges his time at war, his warrior upbringing, his inability to sustain major injury...but for as fast as he can run and as many tons as he can lift if he really pushes it, Rain will always prefer a quiet bit of reading on a cloudy day. He's somewhat awkward with new people, and might come off as a bit more of a nerd if not for those uh...boobies.
Minimalist
After growing up around the decadence of his uncle's estate and the radiance of his mother's showmanship, Rain has come to prefer the simpler things in life. His most treasured memories are of bread by the fire, camping under the stars, and folding the baby's new clothes out on the lawn. He's never been interested in monetary gain or any kind of fame, and has instead worked to keep his lifestyle mostly lowkey. Yes, the immortality is a secret, as it is the least lowkey thing about him.
Conflicted
There is a constant neediness about Rain that he has trouble fully shaking off, but at the same time, he longs for a sort of quiet autonomy. He seeks the freedom of being able to shape his own future, but is unsure how to do that without the help of others as his guide. He does things for others' sake while disliking the same being done for him. And if he lives far beyond however long they'll all live (all these little, important, treasured people), what will he have left?

Summary
Little Miracle
Born during a storm in the throws of the cold to Peaches and her spartan husband, Rain is unable to die. He has no ability or aptitude for magic, but no matter what injury he encounters, it quickly heals itself of its own accord. Something that might be otherwise fatal is to him a simple lapse in consciousness, and he has never fallen ill. He spent his first century listless from being in such a state, keeping it a secret from his mortal relatives and peers and shying away from the life of adventure his parents enjoyed in favor of the quieter winters spent at his uncle's estate. There, he wasted time away in solitude and in study, working and failing to connect with the noble peerage his uncle often introduced him.
Falling Star
His second century began with a trip home, one of many visits to check in on his mother who frequently found herself ill when the weather was bad. Rain was listless still, and in walking through the woods of his childhood once again, he did not watch his step, tumbling down deep into the Underdark. It was a fall that would have killed any normal man, but Rain instead suffered his first and only lasting injury in the form of a broken back. Like anything, it was healing, but the pace was glacial. He spent his second century in bed, in the Underdark, in the care of the woman that would later be his wife, and soon, in the throws of a drow revolution. As an unkillable, reusable martyr who had nothing to do but study, Rain dedicated himself to the movement, intent on unseating an unjust monarch. He would return to the surface after some success.
Empty Promises
In his third century, however, he was greeted with war. The country was splitting between its old ways and a new promise of security and law. Rain's own ideals pushed him to side with the burgeoning latter, but in doing so, he left his parents behind. The war was long, and over time its purpose became faded. Rain, a man who faced no consequence from the violence, became quickly disillusioned with the Republic he was fighting to form.
Now nearing his fourth century, Rain struggles with how to bring his ideals of justice to fruition. Rather than growing listless again, he is restless, arguing with a system he once supported, wishing the magic that sustains him could be used instead for those around him he does not want to lose.
Varnon
[ Father ]
While he shares both Rain's bookish and buffish traits, Rain has always had somewhat of a difficult time getting along with his father, himself the more emotional and philosophical person. As well, Rain is hypocritical with Varnon, concerned for his father's recklessness while adopting it himself.
Peaches
[ Mother ]
Rain worries after his mother more than anyone he has ever known. She may do countless amazing feats, but still he sees in her every time she has fallen ill in his childhood, often for bedridden for months at a time. If they still lived together, he would fuss over her; instead, he keeps his distance and lets her fuss over him.
Ivo
[ Adopted Gremlin ]
Though Ivo still has a sort of...thing for Rain's dad, Rain is determined to shape this little weirdo into something passably amiable. Something more in touch with his emotions. It's for his own good.
