Luci shook his head, blinking at the curious bird. On a small whim, not quite believing the bird would understand his gestures, he signed at it.

"I've actually lived a very sheltered life. I don't leave home much..."

Luci cringed, immediately feeling stupid. He glanced around and shoved his hands into his pockets. His right hand gripped onto a small stone he had found earlier. He'd watched the birds outside home pecking and squabbling for shiny stones. Maybe the strange bird might behave the same?

He pulled out the stone and held it out to the bird, smiling.
