"With every harvest there's a new adventure."
A Hoshibuki renowned for its ability to harvest Bama fruit from the enormous Firebreath Flower, they are well equipped with a serious disposition when it comes to work! He own a soup shop, working with other Hoshibuki who wish to help out and work, serving some of the best around... spicy, savory, sweet, you name it. One of the popular flavors however is the Bama soup! Spicy/savory as habanero- but immediately recovered with sweetness like peach and zing of lime. Often paired with catch of the day too, fish!
Rufus loves to make others happy and keep them fed, as it brings an internal wide smile at the end of the day... He too enjoys gardening around their home which is located at the base of the mountains, FB Flowers grow more north on the mountains, where you'll find paths outside of the forest, volcanic ash, etc.

Rufus lives at a seperate part of his resturant. The second floor and two smaller rooms in the back are livingquarters where he house Kuuro, a young Hoshisbuki he has grown quite fond of. You could easily mistake them as family seeing their behavior towards one another.
They disappear for weeks at a time, traveling deep into the forests to gather fruit as a supply for their soup shop. Rufus often have hummingbirds and butterflies gathering around them, drawn to the smell of the fruit. He smoke a pipe ; usually it's filled with an herb that they like to gather in the forest. It doesn't affect them other than a slight fuzzy feeling, but if others smoke it it can give them hallucinations. Their travels take them all over the place, but there's one town that they enjoy spending the most of their free-time in. They live out of the back of the shop, and tend to a small garden of food-related plants (with a special corner for flowers)

Rufus often sits out in the back of his resturant, enjoying his garden with a drink and his pipe. Both Kuuro and Rufus enjoy lanterns and festives, which is clear in their choice of decoration.

He is considered to be well spoken and patient. A man with a kind heart, who is also firm-- but fair. He is extremly hard working and dependable, while also beeing mentally strong.

Whenever Rufus is not out on one of his many harvesting travels, he likes to meditate or train martial arts with Kuuro. He's very outgoing and enjoys walking around talking with pretty much anyone. Somehow he seems to be able to turn even the most awkward soul into enthusiastic chatters.
