☆ About
Every group needs a mascot. The mascot itself can be anything from a character, animal or animate object. However, the mascot represents all that is good and attractive about a product, and which may act as a spokesman for it. Well that or acts a representative of that what product/thing is. Riko is the mascot of the Phantom Thieves and is rather special. Not because of his creation but due to what he is: a legendary Pokémon. It’s not everything you get a legendary Pokémon to join your side especially a young one at that.

☆ Personality
Legendary Pokémon are said to be knowledgeable from the moment they hatched from their egg. Their vast knowledge of the world allows them to mature quickly and look at the world from a boundless view. This view is one that allows them to grow and adapt to the changing world in a way that would allow for them to live in it without the fear of being taken down. This is most certainly a necessary trait as without it, the world would take centuries longer to reach where it stands today. Not only that but it establish the sheer mind power that the Gods possess over the humans.
Riko is quite different when it comes to that.
Despite being 1-2 months old, the young deity has the mindset of a child between the ages of 3-7. However, his mindset seem hesitate to actually mature further from the set age range. It is unclear why but due to this, RIko maturity level is shown to be significantly lower than most legendary Pokémon. Much like a child, Riko is shown to be rather curious and playful, often trying to weasel his way into heists that both of his ‘parents’ are involved in to both see what they do and grab whatever shiny objects the male sees from them. Well generally it’s mostly because he likes the shiny things. He does have a bit of a feral streak behind him and seems to become more ‘wild’ whenever he’s scared or angry.
Much like most kids, Riko is quite bright for his age. While he may not understand certain concepts (such as sex, legendary Pokémon and money), the male has shown to be quite observant with a decent amount of intelligent to back it up. This could be due to his psychic nature, which allows him to take in certain things quicker than most creatures as well as his legendary nature. Due to this alone, the male manages to know quite a bit about things such as death, scientists, doctors and pain. Granted, the last three are things that have been engraved into his mind with what he dealt regarding certain incidents.

Riko has the tendency to refer to himself in a third person. This mostly happens when the male's super excited or upset in some way.

Riko will eat anything that his 'parents' state is edible. However, the male will never eat anything with carrots in and on it. He claims that carrots are the secretly the food monsters eat.

☆ History
In Kanto, there is a project that developed to create a creature that rivaled the strength of legendary Pokémon. This project had been started on an island known as New Island that rested miles from the once prosperous Guren Island. Not much is known about the project besides a few leaked documents from the late Dr. Fuji, a scientist responsible for running the project. These files go on about the DNA of Mew, the supposed ancestor of Pokémon, was used to create a clone. This clone was far from being a perfect one as the DNA of Mew made it almost impossible to ensure an exact clone could be made. As such, through gene-slicing and genetic manipulation, a new life-form was made: Mewtwo. However, as soon as Mewtwo creation was completed, the lab and island the new Pokémon was destroyed by it, killing all present on it. From there, the psychic God rose up to join the other legendary Pokémon, once realizing the purpose of its creation.
However, the mortals have not stopped their mission to create beings that can best be described demi-gods to the actual gods. In fact, there have been several projects of mortals who tried this. All have ended in those mortals being killed by their creations and said creation supposedly running into the while never to be seen again. Project M-150 was no different. Project M-150 was a repeat of the Kanto Project with Mewtwo. The goal was to try to create a Mewtwo that was as close as they could get to Mew. In other words, a Mewtwo/Mew hybrid. It was a certainly a tricky process as getting the DNA of Mew was by no means an easy task and the scientists involved have to go through several failures of subject to get what they desired. After months of work and many test subjects, the group of scientists finally created what they felt was the closest to Mewtwo:
Riko.
For two months, Riko went through intensive testing upon his creation and upon being released from his prison of a test tube. However, those testing were far from being pleasant. The scientists kept pushing his body to its limits, shoving needles into his body to inject various fluids to see how his body reacts to it as well as withdraw blood to ensure he didn’t have any viruses flowing through him, introducing various triggers to see how he reacted to it and hone him to act in a specific way and other horrifying shit. This scared Riko but build up a burning fire in his heart. This fire grew and grew until one day, he snapped. No one predicted it would happen and no one knew he had the strength to be able to tear them down. However, in a course of several minutes, Riko killed the ones who have given him life. However, he couldn’t control himself. He didn’t quite know how to control his anger and didn’t fully under what he was doing could lead to others like him to be killed by his powers.
It wasn’t until the arrival of two thieves that would alert him of this and calm his aching heart. The thieves were the soon to be leaders of a group known as the Phantom Thieves: Xander Leonard (Phantom) and Flynn Connor (Fenix). These two managed to open his eyes to the world and got him to see that not everyone were like the ones who created Riko. They also took him in and pulled him closer to him as their son. Their adorable, destructive son that could probably destroy a building. Riko came to establish Xander as his father and Flynn as his mother.

☆ Appearance
Riko takes the form of a bipedal feline with a somewhat of a humanoid form. His body is primarily the color quartz, though his tail and pelvis region are persian indigo. His tail is shown to be long and puffy (a feature that contrasts the few that exist of his kind). His head is shaped like that of a feline with two long, triangular ears resting at the top. The male is shown to also have crimson eyes, small nostrils and two dots that rest above his eye. A tube extends from the back of his skull to the top of his spine, bypassing his neck. He lacks a defined chest that his kind is known for due to his young age. He had two arms with three large fingers that looked more like paws when pressed together. His feet are structured similar but bear more of the resemblance to paws when compared to his fingers.
Looking at the body of Riko, it should be noted the male stands up the height of 1’6 feet tall (or 45.7 cm). Weighing at around 22.1 lbs (or 10.0 kg), the male is one of the smallest Pokémon on the team as a whole. His body is quite slim. This is quite interesting due to the fact the male is a known for being a glutton for food. Xander claims it may have something to do with Riko’s being a deity so there is possibility he has a metabolism. He doubts that the case but his sister is quite jealous of this.
The male occasionally wears light blue scarf around his neck. This was a gift that Flynn gave to him, as the male was being screechy about the scarf. The scarf comes a few inches above the base of his tail. The scarf often has a strange item that the Phantom Thieves found attach to it: Mewtwonite Y.
This form, dubbed the Mega Y Forme, removes Riko’s long tail and the tube behind his neck. A long, purple appendage with a curled tip grows the back of his head that is similar to the tail of his kind. Replacing his ears are two pointed, backward-curving spikes and a half-ring structure connecting to base of each and crossing over the top of his head, with empty space inside. The digits on his hands and feet are now purple and more bulbous, and the middle toe is longer than the others. A bumpy ridge similar to a sternum appears on his chest.

☆ Powers
Now Riko has accessed to upwards of three techniques. This is oddity for legendary Pokémon as they are capable of using 10+ moves perhaps even more) at a given time. However, this could be due to the fact the male is rather young and doesn’t fight too often due to his ‘parents’ being a bit hesitant on letting him battle given the first time they met him. That and the male is a bit flail so attacks (especially physical attacks) may do significantly more damage than it would normally to him. Thankfully, the male does have decent speed and accessed to a move that should prevent most attacks from hitting him.
This technique is known as Protect. Protect produces a barrier around Riko that acts as a shield against other attacks. Protect could be hit multiple times based on the strength of the user. Whenever protect is used constantly in barrier, the shield becomes weaker. As such, constantly spamming protect can lead to the point where the shield will prove to be useless. Riko tends to accidently trigger protect when he’s surprise.
Riko has a very interesting technique that his kind should not be able to have: Metronome. Metronome is a move that he managed to inherit from Mew itself. Metronome is a quite a strange move as it allows for Riko to use a random technique that Pokémon are able to use. Obviously, there are several moves that Riko wouldn’t be able to use as there are special specifications on how to use them but those are only a handful. This move can be best described as being a power lottery of a move. Keep in mind this move could cause as much harm as good as Riko cannot control what move he gets from it.
Being of the psychic nature, the male has accessed to psychic. Psychic is a very versatile technique and one that Riko enjoys using. Psychic can be best described as being similar to telekinesis where the object/matter can be influence/manipulate/move with though the user relying on their mind. Psychic is one of Riko’s strongest techniques as the male is of the psychic nature. As such, psychic is shown to be much stronger when in his grasp. His psychic nature also gives him accessed to ability known as Pressure. Pressure is one that causes the enemy to get more tired from using a technique on the one who has the ability.
