Kierke's bodylanguage and disposition is reasonably human-like, but her face reveals the womans' fey ancestry. The features appear distinctly elven - an unusually slender nose, wide forehead, strong cheekbones, slanted eyes and pencil-thin, inwards-leaning eyebrows all giving her a somewhat foreign, cunning look. (note: no cheek-scar in the new continuity)

Kierke's physique is fit, her otherwise narrow frame augmented by lean muscle. The womans' long hair, which is naturally a sort of mousey brown, has been bleached to a rich blonde color and is occasionally styled such as to hide the tips of her ears from casual observers.

Her style of dress is rather feminine, taking elements from rockabilly fashion particularily in the form of thin headscarves/hair ribbons that are set, once again, in such a way as to hide the tips of her ears. The womans' wardrobe has gained some more androgynous pieces since she became aware of the "original timeline". On her right hand Kierke wears a brand new engagement ring.

Notable gear

She has a full set of HEMA-approved fencing gear. Her combat gear carried over from the original timeline, including a Glock-type gun, a rustic-looking longbow, a proper fighting rapier and a "Cloak of Protection" taking the form of a leather duster with its' inner lining covered by liberal amounts of magical symbols.

Backstory

The original timeline, which she still remembers, is underneath the "Kierke Moltenore" tab.

Kierke's human mother became involved with an elf in her youth, resulting in Kierke - a half-elven child in a society where this is slightly unusual. Her parents eloped and later on opened a shop for flowers and handmade woodcarvings. They're still together over 20 years later - their marriage is turning increasingly disfunctional but has yet to reach the point of divorce.

The girl preferred the company of other members of minority groups to humans from a young age. Kierkes' education was pushed forth by natural curiosity but held back by the girls' lack of head for abstract, bookish information. That said, she was nonetheless quite good at history due to her elven fathers' first-hand stories. The girl was close to him growing up, in awe of the mans' age and experience. The two bonded through training in the usage of traditional weaponry, such as longbows and swords, which then lead to Kierke joining her schools' fencing club. By the time Kierke was graduating high school she'd made up her mind to try and go professional with the sport.

Kierke enrolled in college to study history and ethnology, as well as to gain athletic glout. During freshman week she approached two foreign classmates - a pair of dragon-people - and promptly took them under her wing after seeing them struggle with adjusting to human cultural norms. The three became close friends, eventually renting an apartment together.

At the start of their sophomore year the three were struck with the memories of a much darker timeline. A timeline where a global war had soured relations between humans and nonhumans, resulting in Kierke growing up to be a workaholic bodyguard and getting tangled in the games of eldritch deities.

In good news, the party had studied The Cult to The Kings Below extensively before an eldritch god essentially pressed the reset button on reality resulting in our current setting. As a result we're in a prime position to know that a recent string of disappearences on campus is a sign that things are about to go fuckity.

Ongoing

A D&D game set in a retro-ish modern-ish horror-setting currently undergoing a soft apocalypse whereupon only certain people are able to see what's really going on in the world due to them being the descendants of ancient bloodlines.

The party is from a different timeline, having ended up in the current one due to befuddling an eldritch god who reset reality. The former hardened mercenaries are now college students with wholesome backstories, possessing memories of both of their lives with the knowledge that there's a being so powerful out there that it can literally wish for the world to be remade.

UPDATE 24.06.2021: The campaign ended and players went their own ways. During our final session the party found out that their entire reality is a Matrix-style simulation meant to turn them into weapons, the characters coming to a decision to try and mess up "the simulation" so hard that they'd be removed from it.

Family

Father: Beirán Feredir - Elf ~350 years old. Mother: Mari Sophia Feredir - Human ~45 years old.

DqN96RN.png
Captain Ezekiel Troy

An NPC half-elf [fiance] working in the local police force. Unlike his original-timelines version (i.e. Tarven) he and Kierke have seemingly struck up a loving relationship based on mutual interests and respect for each-others goals. That means he'll probably be killed off in three sessions or so. :'D

DqN96RN.png
Alitani Xaela

Another players character [active] - a (custom lineage) dragonfolk bladesinger-wizard, majoring in history and minoring in arcana. She's a quiet, calculating, solitary bookworm who'se closest friends are her half-brother Arslan and Kierke. The girls' considered a bit of an oddity in her culture due to her relative disinterest towards fighting, but has seemingly taken to human lands better than Arslan has.

DqN96RN.png
Arslan Xaela

Another players character [active] - a (custom lineage) dragonfolk warlock-paladin majoring in law. He's become one of the most popular non-humans on campus owing to his prowess at sports, but finds it hard to relate to people on a deeper level owing to cultural differences and his backstory as a soldier in multiple wars. He's in love with Kierke, but the feeling isn't mutual.

DqN96RN.png
Professor Turk Rodu

Another players' character [discontinued]- an artificer teaching Eldritch Theory and Ecology of Outside Entities at the college. Although the man has had his ears surgically modified he is, in fact, a 400-year old moonelf - in this case coming literally from the moon, which in this setting has a breathable atmosphere and a thriving elven colony who emigrated up there back during the time of swords and sorcery. He was killed by Berthold and Alitani for killing Arslan with an axe (Arslan got better).

DqN96RN.png
Lula

Another players' character [on hiatus] - a tabaxi rogue with the sailor background. They've known one-another for close to four years, occasionally working together to deal with the eldritch horrors that most in the city are unable to see. Kierke finds the catgirl quite endearing despite - and possibly because - of her hyperactive tendencies.

DqN96RN.png
Jonathan Steed

Another players' character [discontinued]- an inquisitive rogue who was friends with Qasim and colleagues with Tarven.

DqN96RN.png
Qasim Balad

Another players' character [discontinued]- a human shadow-monk. A former boxer and a family man, who retired early due to health issues and these days earns a living through morally questionable means. Sent his family into hiding when they ran the risk of being used by Slaq as pawns, disappearing shortly after himself.
