Amirah's been receiving the short end of the stick ever since she was born- and branching out to "chase after ghosts and aliens" wasn't helping her out much either.

Something about her always made the poor girl stick out like a sore thumb. Whether it was her debilitating introversion, her strange fascination with the otherworldly, or her awkward nature, the only people she seemed to draw in were absolutely the wrong kinds.

Amirah was picked on from elementary all the way up into highschool. Dissecting a passive quip and understanding the underlying psychology of people were second nature to her. Nothing she could do would please anyone. Her escape became the stars.

Drifting into a world inside books and TV, she eventually learned how to fly under the radar. Miserable, but graduating college for journalism & media, she thought her job search would come quickly to an end- television always needed hands to pull the curtains. Unfortunately, no one ever takes well to "strange" people, and she was booted from internships and work. Was it the way that she dressed?

Something was wrong with this town. Or maybe something was just wrong with her.

Defeated, Amirah stayed in a torturous limbo of working shitty bridge jobs and awaiting callbacks for better ones. Until one day, staring into the mirror, she decided that chasing after approval was getting her nowhere, and she decided to do things on her own accord.

Well, it wasn't til one night after saving up her cash and purchasing equipment did she venture out into the world and start hunting for aliens- then she really got weird with it...
