Mitch Hammerbang

35 || 6'3" || ??? || O+

Personality:
Bold - Reckless - Stubborn - Dumb - Polite - Kind

Mitch is almost the textbook example of a good cop. He has your safety as his priority, and will try his hardest to clean up the streets of Toledo of crime. That's easier said than done, however: As for one, he wants to do it his way and his way only, meaning he almost never follows orders, much to the dismay of his higher ups and occasionally his co-workers. That doesn't make him incompetent, though: even when he does things his own way, he has proven to be an effective officer with his wildcard tactics and razor-thin focus on his goals.

Background:

Mitch was born and lived most of his life in Chicago, MI. His parents tried their best to shield him from the horror of the crime-ridden city, but due to their financial situation they couldn't really move out to a better place. Mitch remembers seeing the amount of crime running around in broad daylight, and vowing to put a stop to it when he could. Many years later, he became a police officer, and went straight to work on cleaning up the crime ridden streets...

But it became apparent very quickly something was wrong with the Chicago PD. He kept finding himself arresting the same criminals time after time, sometimes hours apart. Not to mention, most of the cops seemed less interested in actually enforcing the law compared to Mitch. He tried bringing this up to his higher-ups, only to get laughed at and told to get back to work. This didn't sit well with Mitch, and eventually he pulled some overtime to figure out what the hell was going on.

Turns out some of the criminals were getting released with their charges dropped, by the supposed orders of the mayor or the governor... This set Mitch off, and he turned to the press for help, exposing the CPD for their corruption as well as those in power. This worked to a degree, as the public grew resentful and soon called for change. This annoyed those in power, and they tried to silence Mitch by poisoning his drink. This failed, luckily, but after that incident he decided it wasn't worth the risk and moved to Toledo, starting essentially fresh with a new squad that was much more competent and corruption-free than Chicago

Although, old habits die hard, and for Mitch, that habit happened to be trusting only himself with dealing with criminals. Time will only tell if he'd learn to let go and trust his new coworkers...

Other:

-Has a diner he frequents after work. He does occasionally invite coworkers to this diner

-Lowkey a bit of a workaholic
