Buford Willis

Buford has had a long history of troubles from his youth that have followed him through his life. He joined the Aria mafia in his early 20's, and he started climbing the ranks due to his ruthlessness and cunning, but his luck wouldn't last. He would end up falling in love with an Aura Labs member named Elizabeth, but after they had a son together she died in a freak accident and his infant son disappeared. Buford was devastated by this, and for quite awhile he focused on his work to the mafia, until on an undercover mission he met Malina. The two would get closer overtime, though Malina didn't know who he really was, until Buford finally revealing his true identity. The two would eventually marry, having their son Rogies and their daughter Kass as well as Victor being found and brought back into Buford's life, and living happily dispite the upheaval in the mafia and the injuries Buford sustained. Eventually however Malina would be murdured by an unknown person, and with the danger to himself and his children growing in the mafia, Malina's adopted father Nikolai M Tener took the family in and provided for them. Buford was seriously effected by all of this, struggling to care for himself and focusing soley on his children, and an attack from the leader of Aria left him badly injured and struggling to recover as Kass and Rogies went out into the world with their own goals in mind. In his hiding he would stumble upon a young Maxwell, who was struggling on the streets at the time. Buford took him under his wing, teaching him how to be a successful thief. A little while after this, Malina would be brought back to life by Elizabeth and would seek him out, the two reconnecting and finally being together once again. Then Elizabeth would return, and the poly relationship would start shortly after.
Overall in his old age, Buford has calmed down and tends to serve a supportive role, but he is still just as cunning as he was in his youth and can keep up with his younger sons easily. Having had time to finally relax in life, he rarely ever gets truly angry unless someone threatens his children or his partners, and he in general is playfully snarky. He is prone to being severely self deprecating due to the past breaking him down and making him believe every little thing was his fault, and he has a tendency to ask people not to forgive him, thought rarely anyone ever heeds that and it can be worrying to some.
