Appearance

Gale is a tall (6’0”) half-Navajo young man with unusual long white hair and yellow eyes. As he doesn’t sleep well, he has subtle shadowed eyes.

He favors long-sleeve button-ups under vests and khakis with boots.

Personality

All his life, Gale has seemed to not entirely fit in. He’s timid and cautious, seemingly wary of everything. He finds it hard to be social with others but desperately wants the company so he fights said fear of others. He often comes off as distant and sullen but when you know him, he’s a quiet but attentive person.

History

Gale has always known he was adopted, as his adopted parents never made an effort to hide it. According to them, they couldn’t take care of him and put him up for adoption. While his adoptive parents aren’t so much as abusive, they did always come off as distant. Gale, as he was always jumpy and timid, felt it was something he did. Especially as he always say things differently than they were, often seeing people as monsters. He was eventually diagnosed with a schizoaffective disorder, though the hallucinations never went away completely with any treatment.

Eventually he moved away to home to some small town some ways away. While there, he met Dax who insisted “making him feel better”; translation: going and getting drunk and partying. It didn’t quite help as much and the pair ended up at Dax’s place, hungover and sick the next morning. Lyra, Dax’s friend, ended up showing up and chewing Dax out. Despite this rocky start, he ended up becoming friends with both of them.

After disaster strikes and weird creatures from beyond the Veil invade their town, the trio flee with the help of the hardened werecat, Booker.

In truth, Gale is a changeling. His human counterpart was stolen and him put in his crib instead, intended to be a sort of mole. However, as he ate his parents out of house and home, he was put up for adoption and his true parents lost track of him. As he’s spent a lot of time on Earth, he’s mellowed and appears more human than Fae.

Skills

Gale has a secret love of poetry despite vowing to not let anyone know. He’s also decent as sketching.

As a Fae, he possesses the ability to see past the Glamour and see Noxchildren and his fellow Fae as what they truly are. If he practiced it, he’d find he has a knack for magic though time on Earth has diminished a natural aptitude for it.

Trivia

• Due to being fae, Gale cannot wear iron as it elicits an allergic reaction. He finds himself uncomfortable around four-leaved clovers and the plant St. John’s Wort. If he happened to ingest either, it would make him mildly sick.
• Gale’s favorite animal are sheep.
