Pleasant is an acclaimed radio talk show host known for his smooth voice and interesting commentary. He interviews a wide variety of people and always has a take on every current situation. Most listeners mistake him for a nice, well adjusted person - he's actually a huge unapologetic bitch. He drinks constantly, smokes even more frequently and is in general kind of useless. 

Pleasant was born to overly paranoid fanatics who moved from place to place constantly as the apocalypse was taking root. He would be horribly beaten if he so much as put a toe out of line - he still bears scars from the excessive punishment. The strict, stern upbringing at least granted him a useful set of survival skills most people are shocked he has. He doesn't know and doesn't care what happened to his parents after he broke free. He found a job as a janitor for one of The Happy Corporation's radio towers, but it wasn't long before he ascended to having his own show.
