Weslia

here’s allyl isothiocyanate better known as weslia! she’s a chemical witch as well, like the rest of the scoville scale sisters crew, and is going to appear in a tentative second chapter. allyl isothiocyanate is the active chemical in wasabi and mustard among others that makes them spicy! the nature of her abilities is more psychic, but she herself is not very fond of engaging in battle anymore.

Appearance

As far as chemical witches go, Weslia is probably the most average-human looking one. She's almost as tall as the average adult woman, and passes as human if not because of her face features (which are slightly cartooney). She has east asian features.

She has green hair in a pixie cut, green eyes with long eyelashes of the same color. Her skin is fair and her nose is flat and wide. She has pointy ears and always wears a pair of earrings resembling an ofuda with a thick red tassel on the bottom.

Both of her wrists are tattoed in bright green; the designs are like blades that stem from her wrist upwards halfway to her forearm. These tattoos can detach magic from her body and she can use them as blades or big shuriken, as they hold the shape of her tattoos.

Personality

She's rather mellow and introverted, she never speaks very loud nor expects her words to have any impact on others. In many ways, she's 'just there'. She's lowkey depressed and experiences many sequels from emotional abuse, and despite choosing a better life for herself, she's not entirely aware of how much it affects her. Since she's been around for a long time, she holds a lot of useful information, but she's rather quiet and doesn't even interact that much with others. This doesn't bother her that much, she doesn't feel lonely, but she does become awkward when she talks. Fortunately, she doesn't beat herself up because of it.

It's known that witches who become hermits can act a little odd, and Weslia is not particularly whimsical like other hermits, but being alone for too long has shaped her into a bit of a weird behavior. Still, since she holds all of her memories of her past life, she can keep herself together more easily.

Powers/Skills

Her abilities are mostly based on knocking people out through their faces. She doesn’t make much fire damage, and doesn’t even use red magic as her element is not very effective that way. Due to being able to manipulate her chemical element, she takes advantage of accessing and stimulating the mind of whoever she touches. She can disable people’s senses, overload others, and has some basic mind reading and mind control. She’s also very stealthy and has trained a lot through her entire life! She has a strict training routine even if she doesn’t actively fight anyone.

She's also skilled using her tattoos as a weapon, detaching them and making them blade sharp.

Backstory

She’s been around for a long time, before the sisters and menthol, but not before piperine. She uses her human name because unlike the other witches who became so through sacrificing their identities, she sacrificed something else. She used to take jobs in which she had to assassinate people, but she retired a long time ago. She distanced herself from society until she felt ready to go back, and nowadays hangs out in her own home, living a peaceful life and liking it that way.

Nowadays she doesn’t stand out much, but her past job was also forgotten by the new generation.

• She rarely smiles, and when she does her eyebrows bend upwards.
• Has an outfit she used when she performed assassination tasks, but doesn't really use it anymore.
• Her earrings have a basic luck enchantment. With the years she's grown to think they don't work anymore, but keeps wearing them because of the personal value they hold.
• Is the kind of person who's often sitting on anything that's not a chair. Like, she surely will sit in a chair, but she's often found sitting on tables, or the floor, or improbable surfaces.
• She meditates very often. There's a lot of magical meditations in this setting, but the one she does is barely magical- it's just tradition.
