A character of a queer romance/slice-of-life comic I'm currently planning.
(And might draw in like 10 years, because I'm not good at that, haha!)

He is the protagonist who hasn't been in a relationship for ages because he's not good with meeting people. Being gay doesn't help there either, as he has very hetero surroundings and doesn't know how to find or be part any queer communities (but he would like to).

He and Liam meet by coincidence at the beginning of the (imaginary) comic though and fall in love. They move together, maybe a tad too quickly!
In parallel he gets to know and befriends Tamir who openly lives very queer and gender-non-conformative, which is very impressive to Jan as he secretly would like to live like this a bit as well!

In a relationship with Liam.

He is friends with Tamir and they share a hobby (photography).

APPEARANCE

His appearance is still a bit vague, which is why he might look different on the different images here.

He's hard on hearing and wears (behind-the-ear) hearing-aids to understand others better. (He can hear without the aid, but it's straining and only works in quiet surroundings. Lip reading helps tho.)

He wears very plain shirt and jeans usually. He would like to wear something prettier like Tamir but does not have enough courage plus also he thinks it wouldn't suit him.
