Profile

A former court jester on the run from his miserable past. Despite his education, Kyron was not prepared for the life of an adventurer. He's been crushed by the real world and stuck with people he doesn't even like.

BACKSTORY

Kyron was born and lived in the slums with his family. His mother died when Kyron was still very young, and his father, who worked as an gravedigger, began to rob crypts and tombs, trying to earn money to buy his son at least some bread. All this resulted in not very good consequences. The husband of the deceased, whose crypt was robbed by Kyron’s father, noticed the loss and hired a mercenary to take revenge on the impudent man. The mercenary found the man, but realizing that the tiefling was robbing to provide for the child, he told him to leave and never return. So he did.
The mercenary returned to the customer with the boy. Little Kyron was taken into a noble family, but was not raised as their own child. Kyron was always reminded of his pathetic origins, and the children of the nobles laughed at him. The only person at court who treated Kyron without contempt was Julian, the court minstrel, an old bard who wrote many ballads during his travels. Julian became Kyron's mentor and taught the young man the knowledge necessary for a bard and told him about his past adventures.

When Kyron grew up, he became a court jester, but he wanted freedom and adventure, and not to spend years of his life entertaining those who despised him. And he ran away, hoping to discover new horizons and see the world outside the mansion. The nobleman from whom the tiefling fled announced a hefty reward for his head.

By chance, Kyron wandered into the swamps and got stuck there. The tiefling was just about to die when the lizardman came across him. He saw Kyron and regarded him as a good lunch. The lizardman approached the poor tiefling and asked if there were reasons why he should not kill him. Asked just out of interest. However, Kyron answered him quite rudely, sending him to hell, far beyond the swamps. The lizardman realized that the tiefling was not timid and helped him, bringing him to his shack. The lizardman introduced himself as Turker "The Bouncer". He completely refused to give his last name. When Turker found out that Kyron was an artist, he had an idea. He suggested that Ansousse go to Neverwinter to earn money there. Without hesitation, Kyron agreed. There was nothing else for them to do.

In Neverwinter, Kyron and Turker made money by deceiving passers-by. Ansousse gave performances, and while the crowd watched his quirks, "The Bouncer" quietly robbed them. In addition to street pickpocketing, the lizardman had a lot of ideas on how to fill his wallet, but Kyron did not always share his crazy, sometimes even bloodthirsty ideas. Therefore, Turker moved alone in the criminal circles of Neverwinter.

One day, “The Bouncer” came to Kyron and said that they needed to take refuge in the slums of the city, because he had framed some guy, and he would probably now look for him. Together with Ansousse, both moved to the slums. Having settled there, the two friends continued their intrigues. One day there was a knock on their door, and Turker was afraid to open it, thinking that it was the guy who had come to collect a debt, but Kyron opened the door anyway. Behind it stood a beautiful young woman. She offered to help both of them, saying that she was impressed with their work. Friends accepted her, but with great skepticism.

Wandering alone, while Turker and Astarte were engaged in extortion (Astarte had many enemies with whom she wanted to get even, and Turker helped her with his intimidating appearance), Kyron during his next performance in a tavern noticed a rather interesting young man with a strange look, and even more so a representative of his race similar to him. The unfamiliar tiefling had quite unusual equipment with him in the form of two glaives, which aroused Kyron’s interest. After the bard took his payment, on the way out, Kyron managed to snag this same young man and start a conversation with him; the two began to communicate and even traveled together for some time. Knowing that neither Turker nor Astarte would be happy about his initiative, Kyron decided to keep it a secret.

Living in the slums was extremely convenient for all three, their money was abundant, and their “dirty work” was not something fatal or terrible for anyone here, because everyone there made money only in this way.

ALLIES

Kyron's closest allies are Astarte Grimaldi and "The Bouncer" Turker. Kyron did not meet Turker under the friendliest conditions. The bard, at any suitable opportunity, tried to escape from the bouncer who had deprived him of his precious freedom, forcing Kyron to perform on the streets and taverns for a pittance, a good share of which the lizardman then appropriated for himself, while still managing to steal from onlookers unnoticed. They tolerated each other for a long time, but were still able to find a common language and get closer due to the events they experienced together.

At first, Astarte did not inspire much confidence in Turker and Kyron, but nevertheless, curiosity and the profitability of their cooperation prevailed and over time, Kyron came to respect Astarte, even came to terms with her sometimes strange antics and jokes, most of which for some reason went to him. He is in love with Astarte, but cannot dare to admit it, realizing that most likely his feelings are not mutual.
