When he was alive, he was a human ranger protecting a beautiful park. When poachers entered the park, he tried to stop them and was shot. While he was dying, he was transformed into an esk, and he continues to protect his forest. He's friendly to visitors who respect his home, but fierce to anyone who threatens it.
