Seraphina Elton

A naive, cheerful, and demure girl; almost as clumsy as she is graceful. Because of her sheltered upbringing, she is socially awkward around strangers and can get quite panicky under distress. Seraphina is extremely polite almost to a painful degree; always trying to keep peace with people around her as she heavily dislikes conflict. She has the tendency to bottle up her emotions instead of telling anyone because she doesn't want to trouble people. Seraphina can also be very timid at times and others would sometimes have trouble hearing her. Once she opens up however, she is very friendly and outgoing.

Being the crown princess of the Elysvian empire, Seraphina was taught a variety of subjects including magic, language, math, and music. Although she is not particularly talented at anything, she is a hard worker which allowed her to excel at certain disciplines. Seraphina constantly strives to be the epitome of a proper lady, as expected of her by her father; but she can appear quite strange as a result. She is deeply afraid of failure and seeks to remedy any shortcomings as often as she can.

Seraphina takes great care in her appearance. She has a very vigorous skincare routine and tend to splurge on expensive clothing and makeup; although not to a ridiculous degree. She loves going shopping with her friends because she has never been able to buy anything on her own before.

When it comes to romantic gestures, social cues seem to fly over her head. Although she has hung around boys before (mostly the sons of noble families), she never had the chance to get a boyfriend. Even when boys do hit on her, it never seems to register as anything more than a friendly gesture.

A lot of Seraphina of self-worth weighs on her ability to be a great empress to Elysviel, and as such she can become deeply insecure when a flaw is made known or holds her back. Seraphina is secretly envious of those who succeed in tasks she could not. The greatest subject of her envy is her cousin Iris--the beautiful, talented, and kind Nemphia who is known as the youngest military general in Elysvian history. Although the two got along well when they were little and Seraphina tries to not let her jealousy sour their relationship; being around Iris manifest her insecurities like no other.

Seraphina is the sole daughter of the Elysvian emperor and heir to the throne. Her birth was a monumental affair for the empire, as her parents had struggled to secure an heir for many years. During her upbringing, her parents were exceptionally overprotective, hiring various tutors for her education and not allowing her to venture outside the castle walls. This had resulted in a lonely childhood devoid of other children her age aside from her cousin Iris--her only playmate growing up. However, because Iris and her parents had lived in another town and only visited occasionally; their visits were always an exciting event for Seraphina.

During her formative years, her parents expected nothing short of perfection for her; becoming the best musician in the kingdom, the best artist, the most competent mage, all of this weight heavily on her as failure was not an option. Her breakaway came in the form of an offer to admission from the best magic university in all the kingdoms--The University of Aurora. As she was nearing adulthood, her parents thought it fit to have her interact with the nobilities of other kingdoms. For Seraphina who had never stepped foot outside the walls of her birth home, life was only beginning.
