Joey hates the name Josephine so she goes by Joey or Joe. She works as a barista at the bar across the street from the auto body shop and frequently comes by to flirt with Cody, the two are newly married. They met when Joey got the job across the street. Joey grew up with her mom and dad and had a happy childhood, but was resentful of the fact that they constantly moved around because her dad was in the military. After a while she quit making friends because she knew she would have to leave soon. When she turned 18, she moved out and stayed in town. She worked at fast food restaurants and convenience stores for a few years until the spot at the bar opened up, when she was 22. Joey was smitten by Cody and the overall caring nature of the street, and loved the idea of working there all the time. She meets Casey shortly after getting the job and starts giving him food for free and bringing him old hoodies and T-shirts she has. She wants to help Casey get back on his feet before it's too late, so she does anything she can to help him. Casey grows very fond of her and starts to see her as an older sister figure, almost clinging to her when she's off work.
