Mild-mannered and friendly, Yarrow appears to be a completely normal Standard stygian with little interest in ascension or the politics of the Nightmare Tree. While she's a sharp and thorough private eye, it doesn't seem to be a job in high demand on the tree seeing as she moonlights as a bartender to make ends meet.
In truth, Yarrow is a legendary stygian in service to the Royal Guard, dedicated to the tree and its inhabitants. While rather unremarkable in appearance, she is severe in nature and diligent in her work, and keeps odd jobs to help in gathering information and as a public front for any undercover activities she may take up.
In her regular persona she gives stress dreams. Things you've left undone, and responsibilities yet to come.
In her Royal Guard persona she gives guilt dreams, which are really just a subset of stress dreams, just darker & heavier. You'll never be free of your burdens, and you'll never escape from the things you've done.
- densely packed urban area. purple & gold sunset colors. next to arata's and near harper's.
- no one knows who owns this kingdom. its inhabitants hear of a fearsome legendary who hasn't been sighted in ages.
- a monolithic clock tower looms in the center of the city. while its ticks and chimes aren't loud, they're inescapable wherever you go in her realm. time follows, and the shadow of the things you've yet to do.

- Clock Tower: large clock tower maintained by orti & tivo
- Central Park: connected to the clock tower. has a nice fountain.
- The Lightbulb: It actually only serves alcohol and meals so it's more of a bar but Yarrow calls it a cafe
- Yarrow's office: where she sees clients, it's just above the cafe
- Yarrow's apartment: this is where she usually sleeps, it's connected to the office
- Post office: Yarrow has a safety deposit box here...
- Sewers: there's an underground network.. sketchy stuff happens down here..
- her personal kingdom, extremely clinical, clean, well-maintained, and locked down. has a lot of security. she hires trusted personnel to care for it but each stygian is given a keycard which only grants them access to necessary areas.

- Hobbies: She doesn't have much spare time for leisure. Any time not on the clock is usually spent on research, skill training, or maintenance, so her past times are largely utilitarian.

- Vegetable: Celery if raw. She likes boiled cabbage and steamed broccoli also.
- Meat: Chicken (grilled or roast). She’s borderline pescetarian and fine with forgoing meat.

- Ice cream: Vanilla or green tea.
- Chocolate: Doesn’t like it, but if she had to choose she’d go with dark.

- Favourite season: Spring. She likes fresh air, flowers and blue skies.
- Favourite animal: Doesn’t like them and doesn’t get along with them. If she had to choose, a well-trained dog.

- Everything is documented, she follows syntax perfectly and has a full API documented on the side in addition to immaculate SRSs, pseudo code and UML diagrams. If she’s not provided with a coding standard she’ll write one up herself.
