Denali
Denali is one of the best pro snowboarders in the country, but being a mother of five means that she struggles with splitting her time between her family and her sport. After teaching her kids how to snowboard, she realized that it might be a profitable venture for her to give lessons to other teens. It's a frustrating job, but nothing compares to the pride she feels when she watches one of her students nail a trick at the climax of their run.
When she's not on the slopes, she can be found homeschooling her kids or curled up with a mug of hot cocoa by the fireplace.

sticking with snowboarding was the smarter (and safer) option.
Her husband of fifteen years and counting. They are still ridiculously in love with one another (to their kids' endless embarrassment) and enjoy spending time with each other after a long day.
Eldest daughter. Denali does her best to support her any way she can, but she has to admit that Kenai is closer to her than she is. Denali struggles with knowing how best to help her during her panic attacks, which she feels has caused a rift in their relationship.
Her second eldest and the trouble child. She has had the most shouting matches of anyone in the family (with both parents and siblings), and though she annoys Denali to no end sometimes, Denali still loves her.
