Exuro's Links
Ignis is still not entirely convinced that Box-chan isn't some kind of drunken delusion that hasn't had the wherewithal to vanish.
"I think he's my grandpa? He likes grown-up juice."
There's a certain sort of shame in looking at Exuro. She doesn't deny her actions; in past cycles she was decidedly more callous and sadistic, and no number of retcons from Opine can take away the reality of what transpired. Furthermore, she continues to keep the same sort of company she did back then, so it isn't as though she's turned over a new leaf and become a good guy worthy of forgiveness. Similarly, should they encounter each other in a Competition again... well, a death game is a death game. She'll try to tamp down all the torture, but it is what it is. She holds no animosity toward him - she respects him, even - but she neither expects nor is offended by that sentiment not being reciprocated.
Seraye's boyfriend-slash-bodyguard who she hired a long time ago to help protect the Doll Shop. This proved to be a pretty good choice, considering how many megalomaniacal gods and godlike beings showed up at her door to cause problems on purpose. Even after becoming an immortal deity she continues paying him, especially since he and his staff keep getting blown up even without interference from the Test Reality. Though she trusts him wholeheartedly - he's proven his competency many times, after all - she can't help but worry about him. She worries less every day, though, and she wonders how she ought to feel about the cause being more "he's died so many times that he's probably fine" than anything...
The boss man himself! Exuro slipped him a few coins to set up some targets long ago, and they've been the broest of bros ever since. He even bought him off of Arella, and people don't just do that for Chillies! Langer is wholly devoted to Exuro down to having practically a little Chilly cosplay going on. It kinda reminds him of his old life... as much as he can remember it, anyway.
"hey i know we're technically in the same alliance and all so i'm really sorry about becoming besties with a guy that has tortured and killed you more than once. but we're cool right?" (dicro crosses out his entire apology letter, puts his head in his hands, then fucks off to maple manor in hopes that they'll just conveniently avoid crossing paths ever again)
He's added a surprising amount of spice to the Competition, she has to admit. She wasn't sure about the merit of putting Seraye into the Competition just for some retconned plot point's sake, but it really paid off. Even better, he hates Ignis about as much as she does, and how she loves to see Ignis suffer...
They are PRETTY sure they should've killed him. He's a primo danger to lil old Dicro, isn't he? C'moooon, just a little stabby stab?
LMAOOOOOOOOO you got killed by fellmund and a pikachu LMAOOOOOOO too funny dude (she is saying this while robbing him)
The whole situation surrounding Exuro is... deeply unfortunate. They are glad he was able to keep his wits about him when they met and that he's driven to succeed no matter the odds, but the future ahead of him is deeply trying. Of course, that's hardly anything new for him, they suppose...
Orchid might be more intrigued by Ent1rety's Ignis than its Dicro. Like, how the hell's he gonna react to everything? He's got a leg up on 2gnis in the mental stability department and way more connections, so would he even turn into the same person if Opine snapped the Test Reality now? Well, either way, Orchid's got a vested interest in Ignis for certain reasons, and Orchid would say they're in for a great time together.
There's no one, absolutely no one, not a single soul in Entirety she despises more than Ignis Phasmatis. He's been nothing but a thorn in her side since day one, interfering with her creations, laying claim to everyone and everything in the Test Reality as though he belongs there, and warping everyone's minds to desire Opine overthrown. He's such an unexpected spanner in the works that she can't help be reminded of Her, though at least She had the decency to stay out of Opine's sight and not make things personal.
At this point she's gone back to the drawing board, so many of her plans ruined by Ignis that now her priority must be figuring out how to rid herself of him before it's too late...
Black should be mindful of his place. He's been in just about every Competition there is, so of course he'd have some investment in ending it. If he'd really like to make himself useful then maybe he'd focus on helping achieve her perfect game, not poking around where he shouldn't and getting himself in trouble. Though there is something flattering about him wanting to dig up all of her, Their, and the Test Reality's secrets. It's always nice to feel compelling.
Ignis is just the best! Always gives him plenty of things to eviscerate, and now he's got tons of fun co-workers to train with! Lureus doesn't regret offering up his soul to Ignis in the slightest; his family probably isn't too happy about the sacrilegious act of sharing his soul with someone other than Nyarlathotep, but hey, the ol' cat hasn't come knocking yet! And he could probably take Nyarlathotep at this point with everything he's learned from Ignis, anyway. Point is, cult leadership is booooring, and he'd much rather be in the service of someone fun than being at the top of the chain preaching all day or whatever.
The boss is a pretty cool guy. Chaurus wasn't sure about working for him at first since he had a sweet deal at home... but, hell, if Poe hangs around him so much and Lureus was already sold, why not take the excuse to stay in the community he's become invested in? He's enjoyed his time under Ignis' employment so far and feels it provides the perfect amount of challenge for him - not to mention his co-workers are in clear and desperate need of his reminders to drink water and get some rest - so Chaurus doesn't plan on going anywhere any time soon.
Not that he really can, given the whole soul-selling deal, but y'know. It's the principle of the thing.
elemon spent a disproportionate amount of time lost in ignis' estate because there were two near-identical mansions and one had orange and one didn't and he looks exactly like an infernal and just. listen. he doesn't like to talk about it alright.
Black has been a constant lifesaver for Cel, being a mainstay of the Castle Oress Alliance throughout the various Competitions. He's always been the wise words and calm voice she's needed to keep herself out of a breakdown, not to mention he's always pulled the weight of defending her and her fellow allies with his multitude of talents. Cel holds Black in high esteem and is always happy to see him around, though she knows no number of strawberry sammiches can truly express her gratitude.
There's nothing quite as refreshing to Ignis as blowing up Castle Oress and incinerating everyone in remotely close proximity to Cel. He's practically made a career out of it!
The worst!!!!!!! The actual worst, ever!!!!!!!! Ignis is the bane of Cel's existence, second to Opine... you know what? Maybe not even second to Opine! At least Opine isn't personally killing her friends for fun! All Ignis ever does is set her house on fire, kill her friends, and torment anyone she expresses interest in... and then he laughs about it! He's, like, peak evil! Cel doesn't hate easily, but she doesn't see anything redeemable about him! Good thing he's locked away in some prison somewhere and can never get out or do anything to impact the outside world ever again, right? Right...? Right?!
[internally screaming dads intensifies greatly]
Spooky cursed library reading pals! Can definitely relate to Nik's internal screaming, that's for certain.
A former student of his at Hell College, as well as his current TA. Poe is a rarity in that he excelled in Ignis' courses, leading to the aforementioned job offer. Ignis has high hopes for Poe and places a great deal of faith in him for someone not under his traditional employ. That isn't to say that he hasn't tried recruiting Poe in a more typical sense, though... perhaps the next time a Procurator position is on the table...
His former professor and current employer; Poe is Ignis' TA. He handles grading and other monotonous tasks for him, and tends to tutor half of his students since his classes are pretty brutal. Poe managed to excel in them, though, and has nothing but admiration for him. And maybe a little fear, but that's normal. Habitually refers to him as "sir" 99.999999% of the time.
Has been considering his various offers, but... not that he doesn't trust Ignis - well, I mean, he doesn't Totally, Ignis is a successful demon, after all - but giving up your soul is kind of a big deal. And a permanent one.
Floor 2. Never forget Floor 2.
never forget floor 2.
also apparently this dude really fucked with the doll shop in timelines she doesn't remember well so that's pretty rude, but the two times she ran into him (once naked) he seemed cordial enough. her opinion is mostly just floor 2 though.
He hasn't actually met Flann in person, but she seems to be the type that he would have a great time making super uncomfortable. Such a shame that he won't be able to utilize her rather admirable talents in the future...
The man she was indirectly working for on a mission that ended in explosions, grotesque death, and the revelation that it was all for naught because Hadris discovered he's more trouble than he's worth. Needless to say, despite having never met him personally, Flann doesn't have a very high opinion of Ignis.
An occasional business associate and loose family friend, in a sense. Isaac was among those present for Black's triumph over a resurgent Abaddon and subsequent ascension. The whole time stratification thing really makes things awkward, though-- Black will have a lot of explaining to do next time he runs into Isaac.
This dude hired me at one point?? But it didn't really pan out, I think? Maybe? And people kept talking about how he ascended aeons ago to godhood?? I saw it. That was like ten years ago, right?
Gramps is still pissed he never got any holiday cards back from him. The excuse is he was 'asleep'. Does he just sleep through every December? Is this, like, how his body copes with achieving godhood?
Did he ever get those drakes first, if at all???
He... had never met or interacted with the man until he got pulled into the hellmess of a situation he's currently in right now. How did Ignis find out abut him in the first place?
Naturally he was very suspicious at first, but he wasn't sure he would've exactly been able to turn down the job. All he knows right now is he feels very conflicted about things. And also feels bad vibes about Ignis at the moment. About the entire thing, really. Currently, he is very stressed out about everything.
He hasn't worked alongside another being since the Alola region a long, long time ago. This will probably affect his willingness to work with others to some degree. Despite being present and paying attention during the initial plan discussion, he still feels like he knows very little about the actual situation. He's already very wary of the man, and wants absolutely nothing to do with whatever he's planning. Because of this, it may be possible to get him placed in the opposing side.
Haha just wait until he runs into Ignis at Hell College, am I right?
A member of her alliance who's been around for almost as long as it's been accessible to other Realities. Despite Ignis' incredible malevolence and untrustworthiness, he's proven himself to be one of the most valuable, loyal, and likeable members of her alliance. Umbra trusts him almost unconditionally, and her trust isn't something that's given away easily.
Though she wouldn't admit it out loud, Umbra has a considerable amount of personal investment in Ignis. Which is exactly how she'd phrase it if she had to. Those who continue prying beyond that point shouldn't count on their continued well-being. Because it's not like she likes him or anything. Geez.
As Umbra's longest-served non-Tested alliance member, Ignis takes a great deal of pride in his years of service under her. Despite some minor friction here and there with some of the other alliance members, he always made an effort to make himself useful to her cause, proving to be an extremely valuable asset and trustworthy confidante. So, in other words, not the usual behavior that one might expect out of Ignis.
It's generally not a good idea to press him more on the subject. No really, don't.
