(next is probably box-chan bc box-chan was like my second most popular oc on art fight and i'm getting itchy not having all of these lovely oc pics uploaded anywhere + it'll be short anyway. possibly mr. sharpe afterward for similar reasons bc why not?)

also completely unrelated but im advertising this thread that i found last night it is the funniest fucking thread on this website. so many of the titles truly capture the energy of r/amitheasshole and i had to just skim through the whole thread it's SO good. i need to get back into forum games ppl are really stepping up their game here

Managed to crank out a profile today, this time for one Frenzael Bon Moel! It was actually sitting around half-finished for months but ANYWAY, they're kind of a big deal! They're the capital-G God of my OCverse and the RPverse I share with my friends, but I think we can all agree that their biggest accomplishment was reincarnating into Dicro. It also introduces a couple of minor tweaks to my profile layout that I'll probably forget to backport to my other v7 profiles, most prominently the usage of hovertext to hold definitions and the like!

This profile also happens to indirectly answer some unsolved questions from Orchid's profile, such as "how did Orchid become so powerful?" and "what was the big thing Orchid sacrificed?", so if you were on the edge of your seat then there you go! Hopefully I'll get around to updating Orchid's profile one of these days with all of the things that have since been revealed and done in the RPverse, because pretty much all of the important stuff is out in the open now!

If you peep at my layout hard enough, you might notice the little "Major Settings" folder in my sidebar! Will probably add a Minor Settings and Important Links (for worldbuilding threads and stuff like that) folder someday or figure out a different way to organize them entirely, but yeah! You might notice there are two new folders in there, too!

- Siderea: This is the big setting I've been focusing on for the past 2-3 years! It's a zodiac-themed setting that's a pretty interesting place, so hopefully I'll get some characters up from that vaguely soonish! I'd been wanting to make some kind of setting based on Western astrology since I was a kid, and one day I just kinda started with worldbuilding some species and things rapidly spiraled (in a good way) once I connected it to Certain Important Characters and >:) shoehorned it into the En2rety plot and forced everyone to look at it. I love being mischievous and evil!! Haven't made subfolders for it yet, but there will be... several.

- Other Entireties: The word "Entirety" and the concept of there being more than one has driven me to just be like okay fuck it these just kinda need their own folder at this point, especially since a lot of the profiles I'm considering working on next are of characters from other Entireties! The folder itself and its subfolders hopefully give an understandable enough overview, especially when combined with this!

Other than that Uhhhhhhhhhh I also got around to pulling Miitopia pics off of my Twitter and uploading those I guess?? I think that's about i-

NO WAIT I ALMOST FORGOT people who voted in the last poll what the hell is up with no one knowing what the mcrib is. every time mcdonalds rereleases the mcrib the media goes apeshit. i havent eaten mcdonalds in probably 15 years now and i know what the mcrib is. there are users on this website, possibly reading this right now, who were born and have lived their entire lives up to this point in a world where i have not eaten mcdonalds and i know more about the mcrib than i would have ever cared to. is it like an america-only offering or something. is this going to be one of those things like when i found out pick n save and culver's dont exist outside of the midwestern united states. frenzael bon moel knows about the mcrib. then again they're Literally God so you know what that doesn't mean much at all now does it

Not too much to say here other than I'm mayyyyyybe going to be more active possibly maybe? Looking around at freebie layouts that might be good for honestly just pumping out mini bios at this point. I'm not really active enough on the forums or anything to care that much about getting my little stars anymore and it's killing me whenever I go on here and realize I'm missing, like, practically all of the OCs I've been hyperfixating on for the past 2-3 years. You guys don't know about Siderea yet!! It's the big thing!!! And you don't know about all of the hot, horrible Orchid spoilers that've since been revealed!!!!! I am a disgrace!!!!!!

The big thing I'm considering is doing NaProWriMo again. Way too lazy to try and dig around through like 4 years of bulletins, but if you're a true Iso historian you might remember one year I did a thing where instead of writing a novel for NaNoWriMo I instead tried to write one profile per day. I didn't "win", but I did manage to push out a pretty good number of profiles. I do have a few scattered things of novels/short stories I could write but ultimately we're gonna just kinda see what happens. In either case I'll likely at least start getting around to mini bios again pretty soon! Assuming I don't start hyperfixating again next time I look at an Etrian Odyssey game or something!

Another possible thing I'm thinking of doing is trying to do some kind of worldbuilding writeup - or 50k words with of worldbuilding writeups? - for NaNoWriMo, which ideally people would see here eventually but for all my love of storing worldbuilding info I've never gotten around to using worlds. The main obstacle is that all of my writeups are posted on a forum that uses BBCode and I'm honestly just too fuckin lazy to convert things and also reword things to not be heavily reliant on RP knowledge. Someday!!

Other things! I changed my profile layout because every time I looked at it I just got kinda discouraged by the sheer number of things I needed to work on/update. I stumbled on an HTML layout I liked, so it's not quite as fancy but I like it well enough! I have the other one backed up just in case I ever want to switch back, but I'll probably stick with this one for at least a while. The little featured characters thing is easier to swap people in and out of, too, and I'll (ideally) swap it out monthly to match my arbitrary monthly color theming! Last but certainly not least, I've uploaded a "fun" little story from last year's NaNoWriMo! It's called 3 AM at the Event Horizon and is about noted normal person Orchid picking up McRibs for an evil overlord as seen from the perspective of his reluctant girlfriend (who belongs to my somehow not reluctant girlfriend btw stan alison stan memeduchess). I forgot that I could get away with uploading this one since Orchid at least has a profile.

I have two other stories lying around - including what is unquestionably my magnum opus imho - but neither of them have any of the included characters uploaded yet so I'm holding off for now. But, as stated, that'll hopefully change soon!

Or maybe I'll vanish from Toyhou dot se for a year again after posting this! Who knows?

as for my cool ocs i've just been really lazy these days honestly, most of my writing spoons just go into rping, a personal wiki of mine, or sometimes the gnosia wiki which you should not go look at because it's full of spoilers. you should play gnosia first. definitely play gnosia. it's really good. purchase gnosia for the nintendo switch or pc available now via steam this concludes my advertisement.

i Have tried working on profiles a couple times these past like. 2 years basically jeez. but i'll start and then just kinda fall off of it because i'll hit one of the lengthier sections and get lazy, stop for a while, never come back, rinse and repeat. at this point in my life i'm 99% sure i have ADHD which explains everything about my life and i oft fantasize about a world where i have health insurance and can experience the magic of being able to focus on anything. but for now expect me to continue to not upload profiles very often, though i do hope that ends up changing eventually! i miss being active here, i just have way more things eating up my time and spoons so Alas

someone remind me to update orchid's profile with the big ol mystery spoiler i finally got to reveal several months ago. heres the only context you get. and then i can ideally upload some more context-sensitive characters so that i can upload my magnum opus (a story about a character going to bed) so that i have more motivation to work on my even magnumer opus. please look forward to it, and have a nice day

Got excited about my layout tweaks and wound up scrounging up some spoons last night/this morning to make another profile! Took a while to decide on someone, but I wound up picking Deius since he's got nice art, not too long of a profile to write up, no spoilers to awkwardly write around, no details I'd have to BS on the spot, is a main character in his setting and thus well-deserving of a profile, and not too difficult to pick out a jam for! He's a character I'm pretty fond of, so give him a peek!

...Realizing the poll on my last bulletin foreshadowed this. Whoa. The power of spaghetti...

Literally! But we'll get to that.

Updated Orchid's bio since he was the last profile I made and thus the dude hanging around in my WIP Profile placeholder thing, so he wound up being my guinea pig for CSS adventures! Or, well, I was going to upgrade to a shinier version, but tl;dr I couldn't make the tweaks I wanted so I wound up just figuring out how to "upgrade" the sidebar on the right since that's all I really wanted out of the upgrade!

That gave me room to add another section, so I proceeded to... not do that at all and slapped a music player in there instead. We'll see if it lasts because I get self-conscious about music, but more importantly I either have 10 billion theme songs for an OC or zero. And most of them are zero because I just auto-associate every song on Earth with either Orchid or Orchid-adjacent characters. Or Orchid-adjacent characters AND Orchid at the same time! It is a nice way to set up The Vibe for the character, though - making picking a song out for the Orchids out there easier since I'd gravitate to what's most musically fitting out of the bunch - so we'll see if I'll be able to uphold it in future bios. Probably not. And it looks especially awkward when you're on the credits tab. But who knows!

If I get rid of it, then I'll probably just split History and RP History into separate sections like I used to unless I think of something better!

Aside from doing some actual proofreading, the real meat of the update is in the Entireties section, because it recently got revealed in RP that some apparent rando I was RPing in what amounts to an AU subforum wound up being an alias for an AU Orchid. So Coris has his own section in there now, there's images and hover text in that tab now, and Dicro's section there actually links to his profile like it really should've in the first place. He won't have a profile for some time, I imagine, since there's still a lot of spoilers for En2rety plot stuff in his backstory and while we're very close to revealing a lot of them it's just not quite time yet! He's pretty much the same guy, though. Sassy godmodder and all.

Last thing to mention is that I finally decided to just upload that story I mentioned in my last bulletin. Like I'd said I was going to wait until I made a profile for Astrid first, but I really want to make a new ref for them first and that just kinda keeps not happening, so whatever story time!! Summer might be over, but it's a story that'll surely bring you back to those warm, sunny days where everything is perfectly fine and normal! Give it a read!
