uhhhh i've been both very busy and very lazy lately so not much to say here, behind on reading so many people's profiles and i still owe someone a readin' of their writin' and i got a new css layout already that i haven't used yet BUT finals week is next week so after then i'll probably make profiles over break!

HOWEVER i am in the midst of something oc related!! i'm tired of having no profiles at all for my adopts because i like proving my ownership of them and having at least a little information up about them, but i also hate having empty profiles!!! so i've decided i'm going to compile all of my adopts without profiles into a page that has mini-bios for everyone, as well as designer credit, alt text, and the date i got them!! here's a lil preview, it's gonna be neato: https://i.gyazo.com/af2e3f02e485cd3167f357c9a9b1c411.png

i have a lot of adopts though... i'm like maybe only 1/3 of the way through it so it'll be a while yet, esp since i'm also working on tweaking my new css layout and whatnot

ALSO now that I hear anchors are back, I'm hoping to start working on profiles again!! Hoping to find some layouts that use them like my old one did; I've found it hard to get motivated to write profiles lately just because I feel like my current layout stretches on too long and it makes it unappealing to read... if I could get a layout like my old one I feel like it'd be easier to ruse people into reading stuff because they can just click around and check out the sections that they want, ya feel?? I DUNNO I like my layout kinda but the more I look at it, the more crowded I feel it is and instead of fixing it I'd rather just get a new one tbh i am lazy

keen observers MAY HAVE NOTICED that my activity has been basically 0... i haven't really even been checking through my threads, just kinda bumping the generator freebie bin once in a blue moon and skimming through the vent/positivity/general boards and reading bulletins, pretty much only checking out people's new characters if they're announced in a bulletin and only making posts when they're quick and easy

there are a couple reasons for this!

1)  the biggie, some buds of mine got together and now i have an active rp life again!!! that means most of my free time goes right to toasting away bc the weird multiverse forum rp dream is real again ;_; i'm so excited about it but it's made me check TH a lot less and be less inclined to get too involved in anything bc of that. however i've temporarily killed even that BECAUSE

2)  as you may have witnessed me mentioning here or on other sites, etrian odyssey 5 came out recently and that's currently my priority all the time forever. partially because it's really fuckin good (there's a demo on the 3ds eshop check it out you can make yr ocs in it) but partially because super mario odyssey comes out on friday and i Also want that and eo5 is a very very long game so i'm trying to dedicate as much time as physically possible to playing it so i can beat it in time to enjoy the merryos

3)  school exists and i'm there from like 7 am to 7 pm some days which means i'm basically tired all the time and then go home and feel More tired... i have a lot of time to work on profiles and stuff but instead i end up just idly browsing around the internet bc i'm too sleepy to muster up the spoons to do anything requiring effort

SO YEAH that's pretty much it, basically sorry to everyone who's waiting on me to reply to PMs, respond back in some threads, reply to some comments, etc. unfortunately i probably will not be much more active any time soon either BUT who knows, maybe i'll somehow blaze through the back half of eo5 and mario won't take very long, or maybe i'll not finish eo5 quickly and put mario off which will give me time to be active before pokemon comes out??? video games are suffering. also school. thats big time suffering. friends aren't suffering but dividing up all these spoons is suffering for sure.

also i know i said i was gonna profiles more often now that i have 10 mil free hours at school but i keep spending all of my time on catching up on notifications for 10,000 websites, aimlessly walking around, over-studying for italian bc foreign languages are intimidating, doing homework (gasp,) and currently playing the eo5 demo (which is good, please play etrian odyssey)

BUT as i settle into classes (and finish the eo5 demo) i will probably start having more free time, so maybe belau will finally get his dang profile finished as mentioned in my last bulletin, ive had his profile editing tabs open for millennia i'm pretty sure

as for the note on my don'ts about offering on characters, i plan to get a trade/sell thread up eventually someday, but for now here's a look at my probable final folder! for at least one i need to PM the creator about their TOS because it doesn't say anything about gifting/trading/reselling, for some i'm still debating if i should keep them or not, and i need to PM like half of the creators asking about their stances on commercial usage since that can strongly sway me toward keeping an adopt!

still, if any of them catch your eye feel free to inquire about them! i'm mostly looking to get art (most of them are p cheap but fortunately i really like busts and colored sketches,) though i'll also accept da points (gotta keep that core up) and money via paypal! i'm only interested in designs that can be used commercially and even then that's my lowest tier of interest, but if you have any designs that fit that criteria feel free to offer them up!

It's been a long time, but I finally got around to filling out a new profile! Check out your new pal, Dioclea!

You might be noticing there's some stuff missing compared to my other complete new-template profile! I love tabs, but I'm trying to trim down on them since it turns out they show up when you select people IC. Hundreds of OCs with 5 tabs each? That's gonna be super cluttered. Here's the deets:

• I liked the Settings tab, but I'm kind of waffling on it. Ideally I'll get Worlds set up for every setting with information, so I can just link them in profiles and call it a day. That would make the settings tab redundant, so I took it down. Except I don't have any Worlds set up yet, so... yeah. I might end up bringing it back later.

• Dioclea actually does have RP history (given the whole supervillain OC jam thing,) but I'm thinking about putting that into people's main pages. Plus, hers is pretty much already described in her backstory since it was such a brief thing. I dunno, though. It's so short for most people that it wouldn't hurt, but for other OCs practically everything about them is based off of a decade of RPing. I'm still kinda thinking about it. I'd be more enthusiastic about the section if the forum my friends and I used for years didn't get deleted off of the face of the internet, since then I'd have lots of quotes and excerpts and references. ;_;

• I haven't written any stories with Dioclea in it yet, so I decided it'd be silly to clog things up with a Writing tab where I don't need it.

• Even though I spent like 2 days going through every forum game I've ever posted in to save all of the links to my posts in a WordPad document for future usage, I'm... kinda thinking about trashing the Forum Posts section. I like having that trivia right there and being able to see my posts for reference, but it's made me super inactive in forum games because I don't want to have to go to my settings, turn off WYSIWYG, go to my profile, copypaste a bunch of junk, make sure everything is nicely formatted, then go turn WYSIWYG back on for forum browsing every time I make a post, y'know? It sounds small, but it's legit something that turns me off from participating in forum games when I used to be so active in them. I followed like, all of them, and now I pretty much just check my own to make sure no one's in there summoning elder gods without me or something. Posting in forum games is so quick and easy that I just get stopped by "eh, I don't feel like fiddling with profiles right now and saving the link just means I'll have a backlog for later..." so... I dunno. Of course, Dioclea doesn't have any posts yet anyway, so...

If anything changes and I bring something back, I'll of course make another bulletin! If you have any input on any of these things or you just relate, feel free to comment! Basically, though, the Stats tab will always be safe and I'll only make Writing tabs if people actually have writing posted somewhere, everything else is up in the air at the moment but most of it doesn't apply to Dioclea anyway. So, enjoy her profile!

Also, I start school again next week, and with that I'll be regularly trapped there for almost 12 hours twice a week plus also for a while on Mondays! School is always when I'm the most active with profiles because of that, so expect to see more profiles being completed in the coming months! Not to mention NaNoWriMo is just around the corner and I'll probably host another NaProWriMo since it seemed to help a lot of people last year, myself included. I want to write a story, though, since it's been so long since I wrote chapters of anything... but I'll worry about that in October.
