Ara is a being of endless kindness... but she had witnessed firsthand how Opine has caused the Tested to suffer, how she could cause all of Entirety to suffer. Thus, she can't help but support Ignis on his quest to dethrone her...
Something within Opine buzzes when she looks at Ara, like a static in her mind. Something is wrong about her. She feels as though Ara wasn't meant to be here... but she planned this, didn't she? But why would she? Why would she make Ara and put her where she is? It's frustrating, upsetting, so she shakes her head and looks elsewhere every time.
Now, Larya's mostly just here to steal stuff, but if someone were to dispose of her so Entirety doesn't become all boring and blue and butterfly-y... well, hey, she wouldn't complain!
Just as meddlesome as Bunny, but without any of the endearing traits. However, her mischief is mostly harmless and creates some excitement in the Test Reality, so Opine lets her interference slide.
She really needs a chill pill. Shame she doesn't respond too enthusiastically to the ol' Bunny magic, but he prefers hanging with the underdogs, anyway. :3
Meddlesome creature... but she can't bring herself to care too much. He just has a sort of charisma to him, brings a levity that she simply can't obstruct.
Scary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But they've been lovingly married in Tomodachi Life for years and have a bunch of kids there, so maybe if he just puts on the moves...
Harmless. Comic relief. Obedient. Opine has little interest in him as a person, but appreciates how little effort needs to be put into him.
Cel doesn't understand how anyone could be so cruel. Why would someone want to create life just to make them hurt each other? Why does death make her so happy? Why does messing with their minds and lives not bother her? Why can't she just let them be happy?
Though she knows Cel wouldn't think so, Cel is really the closest thing to an ally she has, isn't she? She plays her role well, her character develops nicely, and she's got a distaste for certain spoilsports. There's a reason Opine keeps casting her as someone important.
Dicro doesn't really have an issue with Opine in a void. He doesn't mind the nature of his existence or being in a constant loop of Competitions or anything like that. It's the fact that everyone else is bothered by it that bothers him. So... he doesn't have much choice but to cooperate with everyone who wants to dispose of her. But it's really not personal or anything, and he'd like to seek out a non-existence-destroying solution, personally.
Another star character of hers, all gone to waste. He held so much promise, but he's become so involved with her enemies that he threatens to tear about the foundations she's worked so hard to build...
Umbra is... not too happy about Opine, to say the least. She's caused the Tested no shortage of torment, has defined Umbra's existence as that of constant suffering, and has forced her to accept burdens she never asked for. She understands there might be a person somewhere beneath the gaudy mask, but that person is testing the limits of Umbra's patience.
Don't ask her about the avatar thing. She doesn't know how to feel about that. She prefers not to think too hard on the implications.
Opine created Umbra as something of an avatar, an idealized representation of herself, with all of the strength and power and confidence that Opine--
Well. The point is that Opine has long wished for Umbra to win the Competition, but the story's become so distorted and Umbra has become so tainted by Ignis that Opine can't help but feel bitter when she looks at her.
Ah, Fellmund. He sure is Fellmund. Larya's been on-and-off in an alliance with him for a while, pretty much just using him whenever her standards are low and/or she's really bored. He's such a dweeb, but, y'know... it makes her and Spark look way cooler, so he can tag along sometimes and pretend he's someone.
Soleil witnessed Soleil tormenting and killing people she considered friends (their subsequent retconning be damned,) not to mention that he did the same to plenty of still-canon people that she just didn't witness, so Fellmund is pretty much on top of her shit list. If he's smart he'll never show his face around the Test Reality again, but she almost hopes he does so she can punch it in.
Fellmund is kind of skeevy and completely lacks any charisma whatsoever, so he can't really look past the terrible things he's done. He's still kind of bitter about him getting away that one time Dicro had the opportunity to off him, but if the opportunity arises he supposes he wouldn't mind finishing the job.
Fellmund put on a pretty cool magic show, but then he killed some nice people so hard they were rendered non-canon, fought her and Dicro, and then helped Ignis torture Exuro to death, soooooo... no more magic shows! Jerk!
Considering Fellmund's harassed her, caused all sorts of trouble throughout the Test Reality, killed off her allies, and aided in the torture and murder of her boyfriend, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that Seraye detests Fellmund almost as much as a certain purple menace.
Pleris is definitely scary, but... doesn't seem like she's a threat or anything. I mean, if he fought her it'd be trouble, but she doesn't seem like the type to initiate. Seems more interested in cleaning up and helping out, and Chaurus can relate to that.
Saves her plenty of trouble, what with the dedicated eradication of litter. A being to appreciate, indeed.
Something of an idol of hers. Oh, why couldn't she be a professor? She'd love to be her TA, to pick her brain a bit...
Hee hee. How cute.
It's a shame she never stretches the leash, because Crucifera knows someone like her must have information he can't get anywhere else. A direct source on the Dark Chancellor... that'd be something, wouldn't it? But, hey, if she's right on the universe and everything, he'll probably find out whatever he wants with the time granted by eternity, anyhow.
Naughty boy, always poking his head where it doesn't belong. If he'd like her secrets, he'll have to try much harder.
Eirlys finds Pleris a fascinating figure. Every once in a while she'll invite Pleris for tea so she can listen to Pleris' thoughts, at times agreeing and at others initiating a friendly debate. Eirlys has never been one to maintain solid beliefs, but Pleris' certainly interest her!
Eirlys is a refreshing conversationalist. It's so nice to have someone speak back for once.
She's a coward and a fool to believe Entirety is so untouchable. She is the embodiment of everything he so despises. All that power and she squanders it in servitude. Her smile is sickening. Everything about her disgusts him.
Perhaps the funniest of all! He always gets so angry. He could fight her for hours and all she need do is smile at him.
Frustrating. Annoying. And yet...
Always so concerned about things that don't matter. It's a shame, because their minds are not unlike, and they could have such conversations together...
Poe hardly remembers his graduation and has a bit of a complex about it, so he can't help but get nervous whenever Pleris shows her face. He's well aware that she's essentially Asena's second in command, so her presence always makes him worry she's here to give him a summons or punish him herself for presumably cheating his way to his degree. They've had so many encounters that it seems that isn't the case, but he's sure to be on his best behavior around her just in case.
The result of a botched sacrifice by a worthless cult that simply won't stop bothering her lady, Her Unholiness. But that her essence lurks on him piques her interest, so she cannot help but have a bit of a soft spot for his fate.
Istra hardly has any idea who she is, but she's in a maid outfit like everyone at Maple Manor, so she's probably just another person who'll obey them. And that's good.
A curious little creature, and quite the amusing one. A hassle to work around, but she is rather intrigued by them. Not for reasons anyone else would know, of course. Yes, what she sees in them is meant to be known by only a select few...
As Asena's personal servant, Dioclea is of course familiar with her! She's a little intimidating, but Dioclea also finds her easy to look up to and even goes so far to ask for her tutelage in the arts of maiding. She's not bothered much by Pleris' rambling, finding her philosophy rather comforting, frankly.
A human who's managed to worm her way into the heart of her lady, Her Unholiness. Pleris cannot help but be endeared to her as well, and it isn't as though they have no room to relate. Dioclea admires her lady, Her Unholiness, and is always eager to serve. Though Dioclea's far from as good of a servant as herself, the heart of a mortal must be admired...
Ignis is just the best! Always gives him plenty of things to eviscerate, and now he's got tons of fun co-workers to train with! Lureus doesn't regret offering up his soul to Ignis in the slightest; his family probably isn't too happy about the sacrilegious act of sharing his soul with someone other than Nyarlathotep, but hey, the ol' cat hasn't come knocking yet! And he could probably take Nyarlathotep at this point with everything he's learned from Ignis, anyway. Point is, cult leadership is booooring, and he'd much rather be in the service of someone fun than being at the top of the chain preaching all day or whatever.
The boss is a pretty cool guy. Chaurus wasn't sure about working for him at first since he had a sweet deal at home... but, hell, if Poe hangs around him so much and Lureus was already sold, why not take the excuse to stay in the community he's become invested in? He's enjoyed his time under Ignis' employment so far and feels it provides the perfect amount of challenge for him - not to mention his co-workers are in clear and desperate need of his reminders to drink water and get some rest - so Chaurus doesn't plan on going anywhere any time soon.
Not that he really can, given the whole soul-selling deal, but y'know. It's the principle of the thing.
