Fragments are a group of seriously-powerful reality warpers who exist outside of the scope of time. Born as small chunks of magic cast off from the primordial fusion, Frags "fall" into Timelines, which they then claim as their own and protect from reality-shattering disasters. Some Fragments joined together to form the Coalition of Reality (COR), a massive organization dedicated to protecting lesser beings, Timelines, and everything between. They are incredibly powerful, to the point where it is nearly incomprehensible to humans.
These characters are my mains! Please use them exclusively for forum games, fav trades, and art games.
The Magnitude Fragments are the most powerful of all Fragments, the largest shards of the primordial fusion. They represent the underlying geometry that constructs the entire Universe, and each one is the embodiment of a structure. There are 33 in total, and they can all fuse among each other.
The Overseers of the COR are their leaders - mediators of issues, organizers of tasks, and role models for the Frags to aspire to be. Becoming an Overseer is the goal for many COR members, dreaming of the sheer influence and amount of help that they are able to apply. The Overseers themselves dabble a little bit in everything, serving as general heads of all branches of the COR, but do specialize in certain areas.
When a position is offered, the Overseer serves for the rest of their life unless they voluntarily leave.
Rest & Reformation's stated dedication is to patch together Timelines that have fallen apart or broken in some fashion. However, as Timeline breakage is incredibly rare (and usually easily repaired by Mag Frags), its members serve primarily as the administration and bookkeeping unit of the COR. Also present are the Overseers' assistants, individuals chosen by an Overseer to fill in for aspects of their job that they are too busy to do.
Nestled deep in the bowels of the COR headquarters lies the Sanctum, a subdivision of Rest & Reformation. It is a massive, generated pocket reality within the building, expansive to the extreme and host to dangerous and vulnerable Frags. Any Frag with powers that keep the world in balance or Frags with powers that could tear it asunder are kept here, under the watchful eye of the Overseers.
The Rescue & Recover division prides itself on its ability to rehabilitate both Frags and lesser beings, healing them after damage caused by Timeline destruction or Fragment meddling. Especially severe cases can be brought to the Sanctum, should the damage be bad enough.
The largest division of the COR, Research & Remove has a tall order: defend the COR from those who would seek to break it, and collect dangerous artifacts that could break Timelines. It is renown for how rowdy and uncontrolled its members are, who tend towards the more violent sides of the Coalition, as their job requires magical and physical prowess. The Anti-Shards unit is located under their branch.
A subdivision of Research & Remove, Pearl Protectors serve as the guardians of small, glowing balls of magic called pearls. These pearls contain small bits of Genesis and Bereave that were too tiny to form a proper Fragment, but could grow into one if given enough environmental magic and plenty of time. Their job is to nurture the pearls until they're born as fully-grown Frags, ready to assist the COR in whatever they need.
The second-largest branch of the Coalition, Regulate & Refine encompasses Frags who watch over their own Timelines, ensuring they are safe and stable. When things go awry, they can contact the other branches to bring in their expertise and prevent Timeline collapse. In theory, all Frags are at least partially part of this branch so long as they have a Timeline to watch over. These individuals spend most of their time in their own Timelines, away from the COR HQ.
The Natural Frags of the Main Timeline are stored in their respective MT folders, where they reside.
The Shards are not a division of the COR. Rather, they work strictly against in, following the orders of the Magnitude Fragment Rendgen in order to sow chaos and attempt to recreate the primordial fusion. Their leader is Virant, who was the first chosen by Rendgen. The COR sees them as their prime enemies to their goal and works to reassimilate and rehabilitate its members.
There are some Frags who refused to join the COR, but do not belong to the other major factions nor work against the COR. They are allowed to live as they please, in whatever Timeline, as long as they do not impede COR work. The COR takes it upon itself to apply law to them, however, arresting and trying those accused of crimes. However, Frags outside of the COR are not necessarily hostile.
The final major faction is the Haven, founded by Sundae. It was intended to be a home for Fragments who felt disillusioned with their work in the COR, but did not hold true malice towards it. They reject the idea that Frags' purpose is to babysit Timelines that they cannot even participate in, instead choosing to construct their own worlds in the Haven to live akin to mortals. They are not permitted to leave, for fear of the location becoming compromised.
This folder contains the administrators of the Haven, individuals who travel between its Realms to ensure peace and assist Sundae in managing it and the magical upkeep that the Haven requires.
Soleil Realm is contained within the Haven. Its storyline features the powerful nation Soleil, surrounded by wealth, military power, political influence, and the largest, most successful on its continent. When its prince, Sun, opens himself to marriage offers, every last small nation sent one of their own royal family to attempt to court him and gain access to Soleil's power. However, Sun struggles to pick a single suitor - he finds something charming or lovely about every last one of them. Characters not named in the storyline are considered "NPCs", puppets for the Frags to control to more accurately roleplay.
Dream City is contained within the Haven. It centers around a massive, cyberpunk metropolis, dealing with several characters who are all struggling to make ends meet and make their lives better. The central focus is on preserving a small brick-and-mortar bakery, whose building has been sitting on a treasure trove of sky quartz, the material needed to construct sky-cities. Its owner, Jagie, is unwilling to sell due to its sentimental value, although the corporations seeking to purchase are pushing for legislation that would allow them to yank the land out from under him.
