Ah, yup, Athen's much happier now, ain't he? I know he don't look the part, all lidded eyes and laughs behind his hand, but I ain't ever seen him walk around without a weight over his shoulders before. It's right magical.
Heheh. He's so happy. He's glowing all the time. Look at how he grew up.
The island's much easier to run with Headline's help - automating tasks, upkeeping databases, managing the energy generators, overseeing the resource recyclers... I'm grateful to have them.
She's a smart lady and a good friend of mine. I'm glad the oceans have got her looking after them - she'd never let any harm come to 'em. Ah, I'm not moving to Limuria, though, sorry Thetis - the waves call me!
Syrinx is a point of pride for all Tashen. His impeccable work and generosity speak leagues to the spirit of the Tashen people, and seeing him arrive in Parime always sparks an impromptu festival. It was enjoyable to meet him, as well; he's a very positive man.
I think President Volta's reforms for taxation of Class-6 cargo were a good call. I know that's one of the more controversial changes during his regime, but really, it's better for the sailors and easier to catalogue now.
Hehehe, that's my little hero fishboy!
Haha, no, I won't tell you what he's working on next. Just know it's something special.
Ah yes, the "Lunar Luxe", as she is referred to. Is it not fascinating that, to the people of Sarens, the sun and moon shards are unique in personality and chosen champion? I wonder how true that is in reality. At least it is nice to be able to access an authority figure at all hours, considering I do not typically hold... normal ones.
Hmhm, Sarens' little religion is quite interesting, is it not? Of course, in Vaervan, we have a dozen theories for the Sunfall and what caused it - oh, if you could hear the debates that rage during presentations! - but here in Sarens, they don't even question the shards' existence! How very intriguing... at least Amalthea herself is rather polite and willing to allow my experimentation.
Oh Miery, you reserved recluse, you. One of the smaller behemoths I've seen - but that seems to be a trait shared by all Tangle behemoths. Have you seen the size of some of the skeletons on Bivve? Unfortunately, Miery cares not for my research... cares not for preserving this information for the future... hmph!
Oh, Olallie... her heart is in the right place, no? Pygmy behemoths are common... or, as common as they could be, in Moondown - but few make it as far as Sarens, as Iah-Yah considers them pests or pets. How utterly ridiculous! They are sentient people, same as we. It is a miracle she made it across the border... I wonder how much optimism gave her that strength.
Mergen is one of the few willing to participate in my research, and after our first few sessions, he declined the incentives I offered in return. I'm pleased by this, of course! I hope my work will help him resolve his... history.
The latter quarter of Tribute's construction was rushed. I wanted to make something I could show the Emperor, after what happened with the missing robot... and it was a good exercise for making something strong enough to chase down one of my robots. I never expected to have to program something like that....
Oh, my beloved creator! I will fulfill my purpose, as given by you! I will dedicate myself, timelessly, to pursuit of your happiness! By the Ardor, bless Lurifax! Bless him for bestowing life upon us! Bless him for his act of creation!
Eli can be neurotic and paranoid, but it is fitting for one in his position. His fretting is quiet and inwards, shown only through how meticulously he pages through security and plans. In some sense, I am glad someone like him is concerned with my safety.
Sword Saen's protection is one of my foremost duties as Commander of the Interior. Though his skill is undoubtedly incredible - I have been soundly defeated in duels with him - as he is only Immortal, the threat of an assassination hangs well over my head... I am incredibly dedicated to preserving his life and will do whatever it takes.
She is polite enough, and a calm, sharp leader. I've given up trying to remember the Sendrean nobles as individuals, but each Crown's personality doesn't stray far from their parents.
Keeping good relations with Saen is the key to keeping good relations with Verebriva. He is, in that regard, easy to converse with and generally receptive to new ideas - surprising for an Immortal of his age.
Hehe! The King in Gold seeks my demise! Does he know the costs?
Bitch of the Pines. Her evasiveness is increasingly frustrating. If the military weren't so protective of me, I would be out there on the ground, seeking her myself.
Oh, Sword Saen, our very beloved god-king... of course I respect him immensely. Who wouldn't? But really - why does that respect have to mean dragging him out to meetings and discussions still? He's lived so long, suffered through so much - is it really so wrong to want him to, well, take a break from government?
Truthfully? He could stand to be more honest with me. As if I haven't seen a dozen scheming politicians come and go without telling a word of their plans. I hope he knows that when the military erupt in treason, he'll want my word behind his back.
Cismin, thank you so so much for trusting me with this! I promise I'll help the Agency live up to your every expectation! It's only right for me to follow your desires, in reverence to your godship!
Vallha wouldn't lie to me. Rather he doesn't lie at all. But if I'm to believe the words he's said... it's... hard to grasp. Sand through fingers. I can't help but feel somewhat protective of him, though, if he's really been suffering so much.
I didn't tell him everything. Of course not. I didn't even expect him to understand. But he... ....
