Anywho! I'm doing ArtFight! Been in an art block so we'll see how much I can do, but I'll try!

As the title says! I'm struggling to write a little bit but ignore that wheeze. For some reason I've been on the fence about making this bulletin? I don't know why. Realistically I'm sure it won't get a ton of engagement anyway so wheeze, there's that haha. I guess I just worry that I won't click with a custom I invest into and I'll feel bad but then that also might not be the case? And really maybe I just want new characters in general haha. I've been doing a lot of work with existing ones and bringing them back versus finding new ones. Which is fun of course, and I love all my characters! But also, sometimes you just want something new. Just to see what you can do with them.
I'm kinda interested in customs to help with story ideas. I've got some ideas that I like in concept, but I don't have it in me to design the characters necessary wheeze. I've been in a design block for a hot minute now. Really the only one that's broken through that has been Empress. And I adore them of course! I'm shocked at just how well I've clicked with them really. But also I just don't have that many actual plot ideas for them? I'd love to of course but uhhh here we are wheeze. That and I'm honestly kinda interested in just getting designs and seeing if I can fit a story around them somehow. Sometimes that works well for me? Like I can look at a character at times and just get instant inspiration. So uh y'know,, it would help if I could just get motivated with the casts of characters I already have but here we are,, really I just want to be able to have a big ensemble cast I really love and click with. I have that with stories like Vanish and The Butterfly Effect, but also I don't have it in me to just?? Work on them?? Butterfly Effect especially has a really nice and cohesive cast, and I fucking LOVE the main trio in that story. I love how all the designs click. I love how all their personalities contrast. And of course the Vanish kiddos are so special to me. But I just,, don't have it in meeee,, and I wish I diiiiid,, but y'know,,
BUT ANYWAYS BACK ON TRACK
I've got a few ideas as far as customs go, depending on what would be interesting to design for. They're gonna be under the spoiler:
1. Protagonist for a new plotline
As the title suggests! Got new story ideas yesterday. Which it's like... I was super excited for them at first, then the second I wrote them all down and sat on them for a while I suddenly lost faith in them being any good WHEEZE. And I don't know why?? Because like, I still like the gist of it! I like a lot of what I have! I like the main protagonist and her dad! I like the ideas for other characters! But aughhh. But maybe if I have a protag design to draw/work with it could help me get invested again! I have a whole pile of information on her that I can send over, which has good design details and such. The basics is that she's a tomboy in a semi-futuristic setting (not super sci-fi, just like cybernetics and robots and such are commonplace, war/combat are big issues, world is mostly war-torn but there are some safe areas, stuff like that.) She was rescued as a child by a cyborg who ran from the country that was forcing him to fight in a brutal and bloody war. He became a father figure to her, taught her how to fight and survive. She was very inspired by him, saw him as a hero, and wanted to be like him one day. The current idea is that the two become separated at the beginning of the story, so she decides to go rescue him. I have uh way more details than that so if interested let me know! I guess I could just link the ideas here but y'knowww,,
2. Another protagonist lmao
This one's more vague, but also easier to detail specifics for than the first because there's just SO MUCH for her. But! Second idea is for a second protagonist to team up with Monroe in their story. Long story short, I need a dilf haha. He should contrast Monroe in colors/style, but still... fit the vibe going on? So nothing too bright and crazy. The vibes I'm after plot-wise are kinda RE 4-ish or The Evil Within-ish, where it's horror and fucky shit happens, but it's also kinda... campy in a way? I don't know if I'd call TEW campy per se BUT you get me. Hard to describe but I can picture the tone. This is a horror story whose main character is essentially an immortal zombie, make of that what you will lmao. But even then, considering the less outright colorful vibe, I still want him unique enough to stand out. I tried designing this guy before and he was... fine, but just felt boring? I couldn't get into him. So he needs the spice to match with Monroe's unique vibes, but in a different way. Personality-wise he's more serious and grumpy. He's got a lot of remorse for things that happened in his past, which makes him a total sad sack. He has a bit of a martyr complex, willing to put his life on the line and sacrifice a lot for others as part of this guilt. Deals with paranoia and anxiety, lots of psychological angst. I'm thinking he at least used to be a detective? He had a wife and child, and a happy life. Though during a stint of overworking (likely on the case surrounding Monroe's death/the disappearance of their body after), some sort of incident happened that killed his family. To this day he doesn't know what it was. It was sudden and mysterious, to say the least. The situation threw him into deep grief, and he quit his job out of the distress of it all. Imagine his shock and horror when one night he gets attacked by an undead abomination with shocking similarities to his wife. Imagine his furthered shock when, after getting attacked by said creature, he runs into a back-alley doctor that has a startling resemblance to a certain dead actor he had previously been investigating. Either way, the two start working together to get to the bottom of what's happening. Despite being opposites in many ways, they start to grow a bond. He becomes a sort of father figure for Monroe, something they never had before.
3. Some bitch boy or two lmao
Not really for any specific story. I just want some boys haha. Been on a kick of wanting to draw pretty boys but I don't have a lot of my own. Either a solo guy or a pair. Friends, boyfriends, partners in combat or work or anything really. I guess I'm hoping I can form a story around a couple like that? My stories work best when I write them with pairs. Or trios, but pairs are good. It's hard to know good vibes or contrast or anything specific I'm after but uhhh y'know. I like combat duos, two badasses who can fight together. I like rivals/enemies to lovers. I like the idea of romantic sparring sessions, stuff like that. Visual contrast, especially with hair color. One with light hair and one with darker hair for instance. And like hair length, one with long hair and one with shorter hair. Opposite theming in different ways. Maybe like one more weapon/physical combat focused and one more magic-focused? I'm a sucker for that kind of pairing, like a bold and outgoing physical guy and a cooler and more aloof magic guy? Fuck. Yes. And I love funky powers! But still nothing super specific haha. Artistic flexibility would be king and all that haha. Really I think this is just coming from a place of "oh damn I really miss working with Lio and Frost" haha. WHICH I DO TBH I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THEM SO MUCH,, really all the couples from around that time,, I just physically do not have it in me to draw all of themmm,, But still! If you just want to just design some pretty boys then I want them, hand them over haha.
4. I dunno man just anything that fits my tastes haha
Another point where I really just want to see if I can write stories around characters wheeze,, I just want story brain to go brrr. Partially wanting to find some good pairs to go together because again, I work well with pairs and trios. It's funny because I have characters I really like but I just can't think of good full-on plot details for them? At least not to fill a full story, so it's,, ugh,, but y'know! I've got general vibes I like so I'm happy to just see what clicks and what not.
OR if not customs, I'm always looking for art of my characters haha. I just love seeing them in others' styles. Primarily of Empress (either solo or coupled with Leon because I care them) and Prism, or Monroe and Eden to a lesser extent, but I'm not picky!
I can offer a few different things in return! Art of course is on the table. I can do just about anything, including character refs and such. I'm willing to do customs, but please be aware that I'm in a bit of a design block so I'll need really good inspiration if you're after a custom. Can also offer premade characters! Anyone outside of Absolute Royalty, Stories, and Retired is fine. Crowns are a mixed bag, some I'm tentative on while others are more off-limits. I really need to organize that folder but I won't,,
I can also possibly offer USD? I mean I'd love to do as such, but I can't/shouldn't do a lot wheeze. My birthday is this month so I'm a little more willing to spoil myself but still,, Hard limit of $100 maximum (which I REALLY would rather not hit), soft limit at around $50-$75. Or a mix of USD and art/characters, y'know. More willing to do art trades and such, but still!
Kinda all over the place bulletin but here we are haha. Got a lot of thoughts.
Basically... I miss writing. Like a lot. I know I've done a lot with character profiles, which is fun of course. But I mean more than that. I miss writing stories and plots, writing in character, that sort of thing. I don't know why, but I just haven't been able to do it much in recent months. Maybe it's a lack of motivation or interest. Maybe it's a lack of ideas. I know I have a lot of plots that I've been thinking about for years now. But for some reason I just don't feel like working on them? I can't place why. And yet new stories I'm struggling with too, to an extent. I have ideas of course, just... can't put anything together. Can't think of good plots for existing characters. The plots I have ideas for I don't have characters that'd work. Like I've had ideas for a story for Monroe, but no good characters to fill other necessary roles. But I still love writing about them and all my characters. I want to use them but I just don't have the motivation to draw them all. But I also just have no good application for writing and just,, it's a lot haha. I'd say I could just make new characters for plots but I don't have any good ideas wheeze. I'm in a design/character block I'm afraid, it's rough,, like I have archetypes and ideas that I'd love to work with but just,, nothing specific. I'd say I could look for customs but it's hard to know what I'd want without existing story ideas. I guess surprise customs are a thing, just vague inputs, but then I get worried I won't click and it's just aughhh. And I want to change it so so bad. Storybuilding is one of my favorite things out there and always has been, and it sucks to have been struggling so bad with it.
So I guess I'm throwing out some questions for opinions. Are there any stories of mine currently that anyone has particular interest in seeing? Are there any characters you'd like to see me write about? Even in things like small one-shot type plots as opposed to full stories? Like for instance, coming back to Monroe. Part of me has been thinking of writing a sort of prequel event to show them first coming back to life and finding themself. And I've had vague ideas for Eden of another short one-off from when she first ran away, with her roommate and first bonding with Lilith. Would that sort of thing interest anyone if I ironed out the details?
And in the meantime, would anyone be interested in doing like an RP? I haven't in a while, and it's such a fun way to scratch that writing itch. Put characters in situations and just get a good feel for them. Stuff like that. I don't know what specific characters I'd be interested in using. I guess anyone is fine. I just want to write haha. But y'know.

As mentioned previously, I'm going to want to draw them a lot. As much as I feel up to at least, hopefully I'll be able to get lots of ideas. Headcanons and RP are also real good! I miss doing RPs so very cool if you're up for that (or if you want to RP with other characters of mine just let me know haha), otherwise headcanons and such are good too! Just whatever can flesh them out well!

Empress I don't have a particular partner for as far as romantic context goes (though I'm down to look if anyone has single OCs that would work with them ), but they can be drawn with really anyone aside from that if you want to draw them with others! And I'm interested in more romantic couple pieces with other characters too if Empress doesn't interest you! I've been wanting to draw couple art but I've been struggling on poses wheeze,, So depending on whether you'd rather draw a solo or couple piece, let me know!
I'm willing to draw a lot in exchange haha. Bust, halfbody, fullbody, chibi, references, custom designs/outfits, you name it. Just want to draw really haha. I would love to work on more fully-shaded pieces because I don't do them as frequently as I'd like anymore, but I may save that for personal art for right now because they take a lot of time and effort. But if that's what you're interested in then we can work things out! Otherwise, I'm willing to do minimal shading/effects! Same goes for backgrounds, I really want to work on pieces with backgrounds but I also kinda want to save that as it's more in line with full shading, but we can work things out or I can do simple backgrounds! Or just transparent.

I've been having tons and tons of ideas with my characters lately. I want to use so many of them, draw them and write for them, y'know. I'm really on the hunt for any sort of art that would suit him stylistically! Not super picky on types of art (like bust, halfbody, fullbody, etc.), just want to see him in more styles really haha. Do be aware, he is a robot! As you can see in his design, he has some more metallic/robotic parts! These can be done in a more cartoony style of course if that suits your style, but still wheeze,,
In return, I can offer a few different things?? I can technically offer money, but my budget is pretty small as of right now. Not sure exactly how much I could offer, but depending on what you'd like and your prices we can work something out! Otherwise I can offer art/customs and characters! Small Character Help?
What weapon should Mikhail have?
Haha hi all. Silly bulletin to put out there I know, but I'm also just struggling and want to figure this out, so... here we are haha.
So, I'm sure you've all seen my obsession with my boy Mikhail recently haha. He's very good, to say the least. I also made two more characters to go with him, I'll get their refs done and post them soon too. They're uhhh very cute wheeze.
ANYWAYS I've been thinking of what to do with him combat-wise? I know he has the spirit summoning, and that's cool. But I want him to have a secondary means of defense, just in case he can't summon or just in case he gets into a position where he's being targeted and his spirits can't help, something like that. I have a few ideas, but I can't decide what I like most. So I figured I would put it up to a vote, see what you guys think would fit him most I guess? Yeah it's silly, but y'know!
So, I have three big ideas right now. I'm torn between meteor hammer, twin pistols, and throwable vials.
The meteor hammer idea is newer, but also very cool. I like the idea of designing it with a celestial theme to fit his vibe, I think that'd be very fun. And I could really see him using a flexible weapon like that in combat for some reason? Like I could totally see him swinging around this thing and using it to disarm/attack foes, y'know. It would also give him an excuse to have some martial arts knowledge, so he can kick your ass with or without his weapon, but he'll more typically use his weapon in combination with any extra moves. Considering he has a lot of healer vibes with his healing/buffing vials, I like the idea of sheer melee power behind this haha. Healers that can obliterate you are my weakness. Maybe I could even give it some sort of elemental effect, like maybe he can plug vials into it to give it extra effects upon hits or something, idk haha.
The twin pistols have been an idea I've had since his conception. Which, I do like them? Twin pistols, especially in fantasy media, are my weakness. The fighting styles are just so cool, I adore them. Plus designing them could be really cool. I like the idea that maybe he can create different bullets that have different elemental effects? Then he can swap between the effects he wants at any given time. Could be a pretty neat and elegant fighting style, which could be cool? Plus designing his pistols would be fun haha.
The throwable vials would probably fit his vibe most, but I also worry they may almost be cliche for him? I don't know wheeze. But he's a scientist, of course he'd make concoctions he could use for damaging foes. They'd probably follow the same elemental idea, he can essentially throw mini spells or something, y'know haha. Could be neat, at the very least. It's kind of self-explanatory so haha.
