Riftverse

The story of a planet torn in two, those descended from the survivors, and the oddities that have risen since.

Those dependent on the energies of the planet to survive have since adapted to the now uneven distribution, coming up with strategies to maintain their own energy levels and living in places that have thankfully remained fairly normal; in the places that are barren or overabundant thrive the oddities who neither wield or depend on this energy flow to survive.

Despite their differences, the two groups cooperate to learn more of the new form their world has taken, from the geography of the Great Rift with energy too strong for any energy user to observe to the abilities of the wildlife that have changed since. Over the course of the past few centuries, they together have helped daily life return to a semblance of the prosperity and normality that once was before the disaster. 

But to the beings who've been tasked with observing and maintaining the balance of the energy surrounding every living being, the world is anything but normal.
