Quarantine is my favourite episode too, though really season five as a whole is my favourite from the whole run :')

omgg I love seeing historical ocs like yours, they're wonderful!! your age of sail ocs in particular make me so happy, that era is the love of my life and it's such a pleasant rarity to see characters set in it. lovin your work! c:

Thank you so much I really appreciate it!

I get what you mean, Age of Sail is such a fascinating era yet it does seem to be such a niche interest, I love Nelson’s Navy in particular. I rec the show Turn if you have access to Prime, that’s a great show. I’d also rec the Kydd novels by Julian Stockwin, those are great too and seem to be relatively unheard of even among people who like Age of Sail stuff.

We're like-minded; thanks sm for the recs, happily I've watched/read a little of both! I'll have to pick up the Kydd series again now that you've recommended it. :D In return (if I may), I'd recommend The Wooden World by N.A.M. Rodger if you don't already own it- it's nonfiction but makes a great table guide for looking up any big or small detail about life within the Royal Navy at that time. I adore it and have found it infinitely useful! c: <3

"Someone tried to set fire to the toilets in the music block."

 .... Okay..... One word.

WHY?!

Idk never found out the full story but I will say failing English public schools are weird af to experience.

Pretty much the entirety of my year group hated the place and we were all pretty miserable so best guess is that happened when some kids finally snapped and decided enough was enough.

Understandable.

Also sorry for continuously bringing stuff from the forums into your comments...

No worries I don’t mind it!

Just saw your vent. And let me tell you. I feel the same way sometimes. Theres a divet in my matress thats right below my upper back when i lay down. Im kinda used to it, but seriously.

Aye back pain sucks and it’s so difficult to get rid of.

For me it’s an old work injury that flares up from time to time, last Summer work contract really aggravated it so I’m still stuck in a bad phase with it. =/

I really need to get a new matress next leave period because I’m fairly sure that’s not helping I mean it’s as old as I am lol.

Hope your problem gets sorted/eases up though!

Your art is stunninngg

Thank you so much I really appreciate it!

hey idk if im allowed to comment on here, if im not im really sorry-

but i noticed "journey's end" on your bio and omggg. personally i love the movie on netflix and sam clafin's portrayal of stanhope always makes me tear up (well, pretty much everything in journey's end makes me tear up).

It's no problem, I don't mind at all! It is a fantastic movie (def up there in my top 5 favorites) and very underrated. Sam Claflin did do a fantastic job in that role (it was a very well-cast movie all round) though it's Raleigh always gets me he always has me feeling like I wanna give him a hug. I'd love to see the play at some point!

i'd also love to see the play! and yeah, i think raleigh deserves a hug, for dealing with stanhope's harshness, drunkenness and all.

"military aviation" "age of sail" "ww2" 👀 👀 👀

I'm especially interested in the Royal Navy during the Napoleonic Wars, RAF in WW2 (haven't gotten round to reading up on WW1 history yet), Operation Dynamo and the Fleet Air Arm during the Falklands (I find the aircraft carrier operations are really fascinating). C:

I also have a massive weakness for Spitfires, Hurricanes, Lancasters, Sea Harriers and the Eurofighter!

i, also, am especially astonished by the RAF in WW2 (and the general combination of various alliances and their planes, as well as the airfights in the euro areas), and don't yet know a lot about WW1 history. however, i think the era of aviation between those two wars is also pretty fascinating (especially with all the technological advances that happened because of the war. have you ever seen 'the wind rises', for example?)!

i unfortunately don't know a lot about the falklands war (i never actually got around to reading about it) but the napoleonic wars seem to be pretty cool.

and of course, though it is massively cliche, i love spitfires, mustangs, and the airacobra (i actually went to an airshow a while ago and SAW A REAL ACTUAL P-51 MUSTANG AAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!)

do you have other eras of history you're interested in??

Thank you for the subscription!!

AMAZING. I now have that tune stuck in my head!

Mission success.

Yup! I loved the show, I still watch it a lot but I only started reading the books. ^^ I think I would have to say Archie is my absolute favorite character (I still have a lot of Archie feels 'orz) but I really like Horatio, Mr Bush and Major Edrington and consider them favorites too!

Thank you very much. C:

Horatio is a great character, some of the comments he comes out with really tickled me. I also find him being insecure about his abilities rather appealing in an odd sort of way, makes him seem more human? Ioan definitely rocked that role, I tried watching the old Hornblower movie but I was too used to seeing Ioan as Horatio and ended up giving up with it. xD I have to admit the rest were good but definitely not the same without Archie in them. And what you said is exactly why I liked Archie so much! I still tear up at THAT scene in Retribution. :L

Oh, your profiles are so organized and tidily put together!! What a treat to look at and read omg

Thank you so much I'm glad you think so! C:
