The Sea King's Mermaid // Written Story // 18 +

❝ The Eastern Sea Kingdom has only three unfavorable things that can topple its ancient dynasty. The first is Umiko, history's first mermaid princess who's outgoing and bold personality threatens the status quo of her land's traditions. The second is Yasuki, the king and Umiko's father who grows weaker every day due to his physical deformities and a tired, aching heart. Finally, the third is the sudden resurrection of cursed pirates Umiko accidentally unleashed who happened to take the opportunity to kidnap Yasuki. They vow to seek revenge on the four cardinal sea kingdoms by stealing all the rulers' element of power; their dragon pearls. In order to save the ocean from the pirates' wrath, Umiko and Yasuki each have to face obstacles above and under the water. Umiko seeks to make herself worthy to her people by crossing the seas to warn the kings and rescue her father. Meanwhile, Yasuki steels himself to not waver under the pirate captain's power and attempts to find any means of escape. Together, they're also a part of the three things that can save the Eastern Sea Kingdom from toppling over. The third is the hope that the merfolk have enough faith in them to succeed at all. ❞
