Summary: During Lan-Hraeth's assimilation of Buttercup Hills, Auburn notices two of her kits have gone missing and means to get to the bottom of the situation. However, upon the discovery of who the kits have been hanging out with, things don't go as planned.

After Digger Cocoa's sacrifice, the Marshal responsible, Asp, finds herself guarding Seer Maple's den. Maple confronts Asp about WHY she followed the order to murder Cocoa, and both are surprised by the other's answers. Maple comforts Asp and the two develop quite the unlikely friendship.
Title is a reference to The Antlers' song of same name, which I played on repeat while writing Asp's parts for this RP ;w;
