Auhnju's next door neighbour and dearest friend. While she had always been an indoor cat, content to lounge on a porch but never to wander, once she saw him through the fence on her first week in her new home, they were practically inseparable. She hops over the fence to visit him every single day for chats and snuggles (unless it's raining), marching right up to his patio and demanding visitation if he isn't already outside. If she's not in her own yard, her owner always knows where to look. One of her very favourite activities is to nap with him, and she sometimes invites herself for sleepovers by refusing to be shooed home.
Auhnju is, without a doubt, Faine's closest companion. Almost daily they can be found curled up together on the patio, purring profusely with tails intertwined. On the rare occasion that Auhnju does not visit, Faine can be heard mewing curiously over the fence, perplexed by her absence.
Faine was the first housepet to catch Rain's attention when she selected the neighbourhood as her new territory, though it might be truer to say that it was really his garden that she noticed, and the trouble it was attracting. Never one to shy away from a fight--and admittedly feeling a little sorry for the poor guy--she took a sudden interest in his fence, often found perched there waiting for trouble so she might ward it off for him--especially when she took notice of his molly friend next door. Through this interaction they have become surprisingly close friends, and she now often jumps down to greet him with a friendly rub, or stops for a quick nap on his porch--though only when his owner is out of reach.
A friendship of luck and circumstance, Mackie met Ceres when she was looking through the music section of Gregslist and saw him offering lessons for screamo vocals and bass guitar. Liking very much the idea of being a tiny pink creature who could scream like hell, she quickly signed up Pip and herself for lessons that weekend. Upon meeting Ceres she realized he was exactly the sort of person she would want to be friends with (and was more than certain to get a crush on), and he hasn't been able to get free of her since. She followed him on social media without asking, and frequently invites him to hang out with she and Pip, or go shopping together. She has a big crush on him and his gorgeous wardrobe.
Brought together at Mackie's insistence, Piper was nevertheless pleased to meet Ceres and his gender non-conforming ways. While they're not very outwardly expressive of it, they greatly appreciate Ceres' company and the validation it provides, and are just as eager for their weekly music lessons and other hangout time as the much more exuberant Mackie, even if it's only expressed with a friendly nod and a soft smile. Piper and Ceres have enjoyed being similar in size and able to trade dresses around between them, of which Mackie is terribly jealous.
Though Darcy is far from the nurturing type, she was pressed into providing Harlow temporary shelter after she watched him and realized he had no idea how to function in society. This "temporary" shelter turned into something more long-term, and even extended into Darcy considering Harlow somewhat of a friend. Even after months of knowing him she has no clues to his origins, but she doesn't press.
Harlow did not initially gravitate towards Darcy, but rather her vicinity. He noticed a gathering of humans in that area and decided he would stay near the area too. Quickly Harlow found that he was not welcome and was considered a loiterer--that's when Darcy took him in. Everything he knows about socially acceptable behavior, clothes, and technology he learned from her, and although it doesn't often show through his aloofness, he very much cares for her.

"OH SHIT IT'S THAT GOOD BOY CHANCE!!!!"
Good boy, good dog, good friend~! They met at an amateur DJ night when Sharkling backed into him (with good results for once!) and quickly became the best of friends. They enjoy attending clubs together, taking selfies, and practicing new dance steps and routines to show off (with and without wheels!). Sharkling shouts at him when they see him in public because sometimes it gotta be like that with friends.
Most oracles treat Mesmeridion as both a god and a child, marveling at her power while simultaneously cautioning her against the dangers of the outside world. Not so Galabrio. Galabrio adheres to his duties and communes with the goddess when proper, but also treats her as a companion. She may be divine, but she is also a person—a person that can feel, and can feel immense loneliness at that. Galabrio recognizes that “Mes” (as he calls her) is in need of friends and that he is perfectly capable and perfectly pleased to provide her with one.
Though younger than she is, Mesmeridian admires Galabrio for his mature, rational nature. Though his duty of both counseling and consulting her is not unique to him and many other oracles are responsible for the same, Mesmeridian is most comfortable around Galabrio and feels she can confide in him fully.
Obsidion, for all his social, friendly, and demonstrative tendencies, sees favorable similarities in his cousin Blakely. Much like Obsidion himself, Blakely isn’t shy about expressive her thoughts—although typically hers are much more cynical and misanthropic than his. Often Obsi seems immune or unreceptive of Blakely’s pessimistic remarks and loves being with her regardless of the level of displeasure she chooses to convey that day.
Obsi’s endless and inexporable social energies wear Blakely down to the bone, and she has no trouble telling him that. Still, Blakely is fond of her cousin and enjoys his company when she has enough patience the tolerate it. His endless excitement is both obnoxious and kind of endearing to her all at once.
As much as he tries to resist the urge, Azarin can’t help but feel pity and protectiveness over Rioche. She seems such a gentle, fragile soul to him, and his first inclination is to help her (even though his “help” tends to worsen situations). Knowing Rioche’s master to be a cruel, vindictive man, Azarin aims to be conditionally kind to her and be her haven, but often feels his intentions fall short of their purpose.
Rioche has taken notice of Azarin’s kindness towards her and she appreciates it more than she's given time to communicate. Typically she works in her master’s chambers or his inn, and her duties never take her to the dock where Azarin works. On the treasured occasions where she gets to see him, she always brings her biggest smile and warmest hugs.
Azarin and Scarlow were once inseparable, and more often than not, Azarin would get into trouble and drag Scarlow down with him. On the last day they were friends, Azarin suggested they take some food from the inn, and Although Scarlow tried to stop him he would not be dissuaded. He was found out, and the innkeeper was summoned to resolve the issue. Firm in his belief that troublemakers should be made examples of, he overpowered Scarlow and caused him to claw at Azarin’s eye. Since the day of the betrayal, Azarin has avoided Scarlow out of fear and disgust.
Azarin was once Scarlow's closest and dearest friend, and even now he cherishes Azarin from a distance. Azarin was a burgeoning oarsman employed at the edges of the island. Scarlow was the newest apprentice of the island's master, who often kept him mid-land. Even with their difference in location, they still found time to explore and play and talk to each other. All that changed when Scarlow's master, overwhelmed by cold vengeance, took control of his apprentice and forced him to slash Azarin's eye out as punishment for theft. Scarlow can see the fear and discomfort in Azarin's face any time he's near, so for the sake of his friend, he keeps his distance.
Since the dawn of their coinciding employment under the innkeeper, Empion and Enver have been reliable companions to each other. While he was still human, Empion respected, even admired, the confidence, deplomacy, and justified defiance against their master that Enver exhibited. He was always the one who knew when it was right and wrong to comply and was more concerned with justice. Empion was chiefly concerned with obedience, and because of this facet of his personality, he lost most of his humanity at his master’s hands. As a dragon he is still affectionate towards Enver, sticking close to him at all times, but he lacks the clarity and intelegence to comprehend the finer details of friendship.
Having been raised with Harashim, Wylorne is just as familiar with his vices and virtues as any family member would be. Despite being tutored and reared by the same master, however, Wylorne does not see Harashim as a brother. He’s a friend at best, a frustration at worst, and most often if all, a rival to compete with. Her overall impression of him is decent.
Being something of a playful prankster, Harashim has always found Wylorne’s dourness to be a drag. He knows that she’s sharp enough to get his humor—she’s just not amusable enough to appreciate it. Still, even with her stern character, Harashim considers her a friend that he can confide in. She may be strict, but she’s also loyal and reliable, so he knows telling her his secrets is as safe as keeping them in.
