I'm still figuring out what it's full purpose will be but for now it'll store old/unused designs, my Miitopia OCs and probably my fandom OCs in general. The profile page is a little barebones I mostly just focused on transferring characters to it, maybe when I have time I'll add some funny gifs or something. I may also give away/sell designs in the future there because I'd hate for most of them to just collect dust on my account, obviously old designs will probably get new art/updated looks. Eh... Idk, it's a huge maybe, I'm just throwing ideas out there. 

Thanks for reading and oh hey it's almost Valentine's day, I always look forward to the day after because all the candy and chocolates go on sale but each year I never end up partaking. Howdy, recently I reopened my commissions on Ko-fi.. I just forgot to make a bulletin about it haha. There's three types as of writing, scribbly icons, scribbly half-bodies and regular half-bodies. Though I'm willing to do custom commissions for any styles I've done previously, just like DM me and we can discuss pricing and whatnot. Right now I'm running a deal, if you pay 3$ more when commissioning a scribbly icon, I'll make you two. [Note: This bulletin is basically me talking about art, life and stuff I played/watched so maybe that's like really boring to the average person] 

It's the new year and we now return to January, one of my favorite months for many reasons not just because of that one. I also really like the name.
Besides the new years drawing, my first art of 2023 was this one of Strawberry with the caption "It's January again..." It's a bit moody but I don't know if I was moody when I made it. Honestly I tend to draw a lot of happy art when I'm sad now that I think about it. 

I didn't actually draw a lot of art for 2023 interestingly but the reason for that is a combination of many things, I won't lie to you I felt really depressed a lot in 2023 and so I ended up focusing on other stuff like catching up with shoes, reading books and playing games. And if it wasn't that I'd just sleep a lot. The other reason for less art is that I started doing more time consuming styles like the lineless and scribbly styles. The scribbly style can go by fast if I don't focus too much and cleaning and shading which is how I make the Ko-fi stuff but for the more complicated pieces like this I'd have to fix up lines and sometimes straight up redo the shading. All that scribbling really tires out my hand so that's usually what makes it take longer. In the end despite more time taken I'm pretty pleased with my scribbly style and it'll certainly be fun to try and see what I can do with it in 2024! 

Y'know I didn't make a lot of new characters in 2023, the truth of that is that... I never stop making character concepts. I have folders full of unfinished designs and junk but instead I decided to focus on what I've already had. The few character I did "finish" in 2023 were actually designs that were sitting in my folder since probably 2022. The only truly new designs were JOVE and Font! By the way JOVE is just my new sona, I did have one before but there was a kind of disconnect there and I didn't feel like they were really me... Like a fun design but sometimes the best way to represent yourself is with a weird cat creature thing. Also Font is cool, I want to draw more of them. 

I mentioned Ko-fi earlier on and in 2023 I decided to redo my page, previously the art I had posted there was just the same as what you'd find on any other social site but I decided it'd be a lot cooler if there was some exclusive art posted there. Of course after awhile I'd end up posting them elsewhere but it still makes Ko-fi the first place to have them. I also opened commissions for the first time there and I sold... 1! I was pleasantly surprised to see that happen and also very anxious because it was my first one and I didn't want to mess it up. It turned out all right in the end. I ended up closing them around the 20th of December because I was going to be busy then but rest assured I will reopen them again this month! I mean it'd be nice to try and save up for a little birthday gift for myself... (I really want to buy that SpongeBob nendoroid haha!)

This year one of my favorite manga ended and now in January it'll have an anime adaption, I am of course talking about Dungeon Meshi or Delicious in Dungeon if you prefer. It's always bittersweet when something ends but usually it's better for it to end while it's still good rather than become really boring. For me that's like the worst thing your series can become, if it's bad then at least it'll live on as fodder for youtubers to trash talk.. Well wait maybe that's also a hellish thing to happen to a series haha. Anyway Dungeon Meshi is a really great series that starts off about cooking monsters and then evolves into a nice little adventure. I also really love the worldbuilding especially the love that goes into even the most minor characters. 

Also did you know I played 306 hours of Splatoon 3 in 2023? I was really obsessed with that haha. Then my other top played games on the switch don't even compare with Miitopia having 70 hours and Fashion Dreamer having 55.. Actually that's really impressive for Fashion Dreamer considering it's the newest one. Since I mentioned Fashion Dreamer look at my cute character thank you. I'm slowly trying to unlock more customization so I can start making my OCs in them hehe. 

In the end my last game of the year ended up being Knuckle Sandwich because I saw a mutual talking about it and there's nothing wrong with adding to my absolutely long list of stuff to play. I ended up finishing it in over 14 hours. It was very weird but like my kind of weird in that I enjoyed it, not perfect but I liked it and maybe I'll draw fanart of the Busdriver because legally I have to draw every character with fangs and pointy ears actually they just made that happen this year in 2024.

Oh yeah I got to participate in a secret santa so that was fun, you might've already seen the art I got but I'll post what I did here. It's funny because on Twitter I was talking about how I really wanted to try it for once and then later on Reddit someone DM'd me asking if I wanted to join hehe. What a funny coincidence. 

This is probably the end of this bulletin, thank you for listening to me talk on about stuff. I just wanted to end this by saying thank you to everyone who's supported me last year! Drawing is my life's work and y'know it's nice to hear sometimes that people like the stuff that I make. It's hard sometimes but I know that I must keep going on so that Firmis may be real. My favorite guy forever.

ArtFight

Howdy there partner, it's nigh time for Art Fight and... I've still got many refs to finish, silly me! But there's still plenty of characters with refs already if worse comes to worse. It's probably not needed to link my artfight considering it's literally on my profile but it's tradition at this point. Find me under the name FusionFlare! I've added... two new characters and updated old ones with newer art if they had any. I really want to add my newest character, Font but I'm still working on their ref, the good news is that the sketch is mostly done but I'm worried about how the lineart'll look. I don't know how much art I'll do this year but I'm going to keep it fun and casual as it's been a rather moody year. Oh yeah if I'm not too lazy I'll probably select team vampires because they're hot- cooler, yes much cooler than vampires. 

Neocities 

I don't actually know if I mentioned this here before besides a thread about it but I have a Neocities site, it's very basic and I opted to try and make my own pages from scratch resulting in their unique charm, today I went ahead and updated my front page, redid a few pages and added a new one. It's still not the most exciting site and it's very much a wip but feel free to check it out here. If you also have a site there feel free to let me know and maybe I'll even add your button to my site cuz that's always fun! 

Discord

Remember that time I advertised my discord server and then proceeded to not mention it for a long time, I think I mentioned it in a previous bulletin but let's pretend I didn't. I won't lie my attempt at making an art/OC discord was very embarrassing, I'm kind of simultaneously a weird and boring person. I'm very passionate about stuff that people don't typically have big conversations about like SpongeBob and a webcomic I read in like 2016. I recently realized that maybe that's what my server is, it's like a blog but more private, I do talk about OCs and art but also I talk about how I spent a week with Family Guy on in the background while doing computer stuff. I think that's the better approach to what it's purpose is and I like to think that's probably what youtuber or patreon exclusive servers are like. So basically what I'm saying is that only ask to join my server if you're like genuinely interested in talking about cartoons & junk but I don't mind if you just wanna lurk. 

Toyhouse

Now for the stuff you've been waiting for, I'm going to update my profile page soon! I've kind of grown tired of the new one because it's formatted weirdly and I like how the boxed designs look. I found a code I liked and fiddled around with it, still working on it but if I end up not liking it I'll still try to update my profile because I want more Maj stuff here. I've been in a real Maj mood, I guess when you've been feeling sad you need a silly man in your life and that man is Majestor. He's even my TH icon as of now, it could've been Firmis but it was the jester that won my heart. 

Anyway that's all for now, if you're on Artfol lemme know! I really like that site so far and it'd be nice to make more friends there. 

So I kind of hate how many folders I have, so I'm just gonna delete them all and rebuild them from scratch and see what organization I like best. If I feel up to it I may rewrite a few character pages too but probably to edit some to remove outdated information because I have not touched most of these pages for years and I practically link this page on every site I've joined and since majority of my art is OC art, I'd like for new audiences to have correct information.

EDIT: LMAO I forgot to put the collection of old new years art, my bad. That's what happens when you're doing multiple things at once. 

We're now in the month of January, we've got 365 days for new opportunities and things to try. Me personally? Obviously I want to improve my art but I'd also like to get better at cooking and try new recipes. Originally I thought of writing a year in review type bulletin but it got long and only 30 people follow my toyhouse so very likely this will only get seen by a handful of people, haha. I'll still talk about a few things I did last year tho. 

I didn't really get to do much in the way of editing/fixing my TH pages, maybe it's a running joke at this point of me saying I want to update them and proceed to do everything but that for the year. I feel like I kind of trapped myself by making so many character pages that it feels overwhelming to start and also some characters are deeply connected to others, some of which I haven't even finalized their designs so they're nonexistent for now. Here's hoping this year I get around to finishing Roc, Alistair and the many unnamed but they're really important characters too. 

I did get to participate in Art Fight again, It was very fun and I'm happy with all the art I did/received. I actually thought my team would lose but surprisingly we won continuing my winning streak. If only I'd get a winning streak in Splatoon 3... Obviously I want to do it again this year too! You want to know what's funny? Almost every time during the first week of Art Fight we'd always have to take a trip somewhere, which is why sometimes I had to use MS Paint mostly but since I started using a laptop I was able to just take my art program/tablet with me. I wonder if it'll happen again?

Did you see the New Years drawing I did? Maybe you did or maybe you saw the notification and just immediately deleted it, that's OK. It's the fourth one in a row, though I actually did a new years drawing for 2018 but for some reason didn't do it for 2019. At the end of this bulletin I'll post every one in order under a spoiler for your viewing pleasure and I think it serves as a nice way to view my art over the years. 

This year I will be focusing my efforts on trying to develop Yrgna & Puppet's story with Extant Universe as the secondary. I'm realizing it's probably better to have your first story be a simple one that goes in a straight line rather than one spanning a huge universe with multiple characters. Also people seem to really like Yrgna & Puppet, at least their designs seeing as every drawing gets decent reception and they always get at least one drawing every Art Fight. I wonder a lot if I will be forgotten, it's not like when I'm gone I'll really ever know but it'd be nice to put something out in the world that maybe someone will discover as an obscure piece of online media lol. 

This is a big maybe but l was thinking of opening my discord server again, this time I won't really try to advertise it. It's not a big server, you probably might just be chatting with me for the most part and the topic may be Spongebob related. I post garfield strips almost daily there. I was also thinking of making a Squidward fan server. 

Anyway this is getting long, I'd like to end this as I always do... A big thank you to those who've always supported my works and creations, thanks to friends, the people I've managed to chat with on the forums and those who randomly decide to fave one of my characters out of nowhere. Another thank you to those who enjoy my ramblings of a bulletin. 

It's currently July 22nd in 2022 and it's roughly only one more week and three days of Art Fight left. So this bulletin is basically a reminder for Art Fight, if you wish to either attack or possibly receive one, feel free to comment your account down below! There's a lot of cool characters I wish to draw and I'm going to try and draw as many as possible until the very end. For those uninterested in Art Fight and just care about my art and or characters, first off. Wow you really like my art and characters? Wow that's so cool person I'm making up in my head. Second of all, next month I'll just be focusing on my own characters. Hopefully that means I'll update a few of these dusty old pages and write fun stuff. I've been thinking a lot about my characters and their lore but it's always the hardest part to really write it down, that's how it's always been but I want to try anyway.

I've been doing it for three years in a row, why stop now? Slowly throughout the month I'll be updating my Art Fight pages and adding/removing characters. You might've noticed the lil ref I made for Dethkuloz, If things don't go wrong I'd like to make one for Firmis and remake Yrgna and Aldro's. At the same time I think it'd be good to relax this month, so I won't be too tired for next month.

For those who didn't click off immediately, I have a little to say. Is it enough to warrant a new bulletin? Anyways I sure drew a lot in short time, you'll see what I mean tomorrow. I'm going to be taking a small break, probably just a couple days. For those wondering about the return of art trades, a little later after my break I'll consider opening them again! Don't worry I'll probably make a bulletin for that. 

I've been pretty slow at updating my pages here and well I can't say I'll be much faster now but I will try to take some time to fix up the most important pages like for main characters. Recently I rewrote Yrgna's page and I'm hoping to get around to updating Strawberry's and Monocro's. Oh and I'll be trying to draw a new image for my Toyhouse bio, so say your goodbyes to cartoony Kittybro but with the way I work that might not be for a while haha. 

The final thing I have to say is that I've been considering making a Ko-Fi, It seems like the best choice, since I'm not a known artist like at all, I'm a little uncertain about doing full commissions but I've seen people offer Ko-fi doodles so that might work out. For a long time I imagined doing commissions and getting paid but nowadays I always feel bad because I don't know my art's worth. I guess I'd feel better starting off by just having people give whatever they want.
