Monica thinks Nicholas is like one of the most entertaining people on the face of the planet earth. It's not that she doesn't respect him, though, since she does respect him (in her own Monica-ey way) but she thinks it's fun to mess around with supernatural stuff with him, even though they should both probably know better. But hey, what's the worst that could happen? They're both pretty good at what they do.
Lacey doesn't really know Nicholas all that well, and most of what she does know of him she isn't quite fond of. She hears he's someone that Monica has been hanging out with recently, and Lacey finds that to be unsettling. Also, she hears that he isn't one for really staying in the confines of how she feels abilities should be used. Like what kind of Wicca do you think you are if you don’t respect the natural balance of things and can’t even respect the superiority of a coven?
Pandora knows Mr. Holmes because he is her English teacher. Pandora always found English sort of a useless subject, and she doesn't like to participate in class on principle. Also, she thinks it's funny as hell to make all the other students uncomfortably answer questions even though she knows they don't know the answer as much as the teacher does.
Mako doesn't really know Kas personally but the people Kas works with sell Mako the drugs that he can't grow himself, so he knows who he is. He got his cousin in contact with the gang Kas is a part of so he can sell the meds he doesn't take, even though Mako feels like maybe Serge should be taking some of the meds but he isn't gonna like tell him what to do as long as he's happy.
Mako is Chamani's ex boyfriend. They used date, live together and Mako used to think they were happy together. They met when he was at a club selling to a customer and she happened to start grinding on him. Since Mako isn't really that kind of guy, he asked her if he could take her out for coffee instead. It was clear that they were very different, but he thought that he could make it work. He thought maybe he could make her a more whole, less superficial person that actually valued other people. He couldn't. Over the couple months that they lived together he began to feel like she wasn't really dating him as a person but just sort of wanted a boyfriend to show off to all her friends. She also didn't seem to really take his opinion or feelings at all and became rather overbearing and wouldn't discuss things with him before making them do them. Breaking up with Chamani is probably one of the hardest things he's had to do.
What does it mean when you meet someone at a music festival, do a ton of drugs, go on an insane trip and have a vision of sharing souls? It means you like that girl, and she's probably a million times better for you than your last girlfriend.
Lavanya knows Andrew as a customer and he tends to get overtly and a little crudly 'flirty' with her when he gets a little sloppy drunk. It's not that Lavanya isn't flattered but Andrew really isn't her type. That, and he's too young for her.
"Lavanya's like- the dream girl, man. She's never impressed by anything you say to her, she's exotic, she's thick, she's got HUGE...personality...ies, her hair is like a curly mane, she's COVERED in tattoos- I mean. Damn."
Back when Basil had just moved to the city and was trying to be more 'social' he went to a couple of nightclubs and just ended up being totally uncomfortable the whole time. Anyway, one he got into an argument with Simon and ended up being punched in the face a couple of times. Now, if he sees him across the street or something, he just turns around and walks in the opposite direction. Some grudges don't die easy.
"Paisley's sister? Shit man, she's hell'a smart, I know that much. She's never really had a full conversation with me, though, but I can't shake the feeling that she's judging me for not applying myself. But that might just be me. I mean, all smart chicks hate stupid guys, right? She's gotta be one of those, too."
Pandora and Lilah are in the same grade and go to the same school and because she hangs around Pandora's twin, Paisley, Pandora is more than acquainted with Lilah. Pandora doesn't have a real opinion on her, though. She's kind of dumb, but most of Paisley's school friends are too, so she isn't all that surprised. Pandora is pleasant to her, though, they just have literally nothing in common.
"Oh my gawd, okay so Pandora is super pretty and Paisley's sister but she's SO smart like the words that come out of her mouth? Insane. How do you understand that kind of bs? Like and how is she still in our grade? Shouldn't she be in like college or something? But she never talks when the teachers ask, which I think is just funny as all hell."
"The little bitch's fucking little bitch of a sister.. This fucker... I swear to god-- okay first of all, she's in most of my classes despite being not even fifteen yet so you can imagine how that makes everyone feel. Secondly, she never answers the teacher's questions, even though everyone KNOWS she knows the answer. She'll let three fucking idiots go first and then after like fifteen minutes of tension with the teacher getting more and more pissed off she'll roll her eyes and answer like SHE'S doing US a favor. And she gets fucking PISSED if you imply that she should do more shit because she's a fucking genius and everyone knows it. I could understand if she only did it once or twice but because it's literally every fucking day-- and then she gets all smug when she corrects you and shit-- UGH I wanna punch her in the face."
Leo thinks Wilson is kinda lame- like he tries too hard to come off as chill and suave but he just comes off looking like a jerk. One time he gave her, Pandora and Paisley a ride back to Strawberry mansion, though. But that was probably because of Paisley.
"WHAT a fucking little gremlin. How come when I don't obey the dresscode and I take things from people I get in a shitload of trouble and my mother has to get involved but when she does it it's perfectly FRICKING fine?! At least I'm upfront when I take other people's things. That trash kid doesn't even look you in the face and she'll swipe the rings off your fingers."
"I fucking- hate Paisley. She walks around the school like she runs it. She scowls at you, she's shallow as fuck, she's only concerned with her looks- she's a little fucking bitch. I'm sorry, I said it. And all her little friends are little fucking bitches too."
Paisley and Wilson go to the same school, and at the very least, they are friends. She finds him actually to be more genuine than the rest, which she was kind of surprised by. She actually enjoys being around him? They have a lot of views on the universe and life in common and both seem afraid of growing up into actual adults with responsibility. Plus, he's an upperclassman and he's got a car.
"I like Paisley, she's an alright enough girl. For an underclassman she's surprisingly adult in the way she thinks. I think she thinks this town is too small for her just like I do and I think we're both kinda wasted here... I'll drive her home sometimes, and she's nice to hang out with, I guess..."
