Just wanted to lyk that I'm so sorry ur account got hacked! Google accounts getting hacked isn't funny business, and I also noticed it spread to ur YT acc. Well wishes on recovering it/making new progress to fix it! <33
Hey, I discovered your yt channel after finding your th!!! That's crazy! Your art and animation are so freaking pretty 😭
OMG???
I don't usually write comments to TH profiles but-
Why is your Toyhouse account such a masterpiece????/pos
It's really the coolest account I've ever seen...
i keep seeing your art everywhere and decided to subscribe in order to see more!
i adore your art style so much and was wondering if you ever plan to open comms again… and if so, where you notify if comms are open!
Hihi! Don't worry, you're not bothering at all, I'm happy to help with your question :D
I think the simple backgrounds you're referring to are these one related with motion graphics! I actually take great inspiration from this style
One of the attractive elements of motion graphics is to incorporate geometric shapes and patterns, which can add visual interest without being too complex or distracting. Another technique is to use color gradients or simple textures to create depth and dimensionality in the background
As for drawing Asian temples or buildings, it can be helpful to research specific architectural styles and motifs that are common in the region. This can include things like curved roofs, symmetry, intricate details, tiles or different types of lattice work
By focusing on these elements and breaking down the design into basic shapes, you can create a simplified and effective background!
Hi Tere!!! I started animating on other applications, such as FireAlpaca, and i realized that there's no way to match up the sound like it is on FlipaClip, do you know how to animate without being able to see the sound for an animation your making? I think you have a bit of experience with that on the applications you use. It's been a bit challenging for me to sync up the animations i make without being able to see the audio
oo I get you! I kinda struggle the same when I animate with SAI
The way I do it is using a separate editing software like Vegas Pro, and then import my frames separately and try to sync it with the audio
I really just try to visualize the animation with the audio in my head before I start animating xD
For example, I can create a visual marker in my mind that corresponds with a specific point in the sound file, such as a beat or a spoken word;
I might envision drawing pose A on the first beat and pose B on the second beat to help synchronize my animation with the audio, if that makes sense!
This way, you can match up your animation with the audio based on the visual cues you've created
Hiii!!!! Hello, I wanted to ask if it's okay if I redraw your drawing? This piece specificallyhttps://toyhou.se/8792259.faero#32013627
I just wonder what would it look like in my style
I'll be crediting you as author of original piece!
Hihi tere
May i ask how you draw your poses? I have a really hard time drawing them and drawing the same poses over and over again is getting really boring for me ;-;;;
aah I get you! getting inspiration for new poses can sometimes be challenging
I guess it mostly depends on the context, whether you wanna draw more dynamic or natural poses
Here are some ideas that could help:
- Try experimenting with different angles and perspectives
Draw characters from above, below, or from a side angle
- You can also try incorporating props or scenery into your drawings, which can help to add context and interest to your poses
For example, you could draw a character holding a sword, or standing on a mountain ledge, which can create a more dramatic and visually interesting pose
The ideal would be to find a pose style that fits to your artstyle, maybe you like more stylized kind of poses, or maybe more natural, find out what's more comfortable and better for you!
aww thank you very much! I'm happy to hear you enjoy my designs
It's a bit hard to explain because I rarely plan ahead a character design, it's usually entirely random
sometimes the most creative and unique designs come from spontaneous inspiration
I would start adding the base color and draw a quick guide where the patterns would go, and then I would use that to fill in the details
I try to build up the patterns from light to dark, or vice versa
there isn't much complexity xD here is a quick example
no problem!
I personally think that's my weakest point D: I still sometimes struggle to come up with a color palette
I'd usually pick them up randomly and hope that it looks somewhat appealing
I try to keep each color on a different layer, just in case I need to make some adjustments or change the overall palette
but I do use layer modes a lot (eg. Exclude, Difference, Overlay) to make minor adjustments or come up with a complete different palette!
Hello Terenry! I return to ask questions haha, I've been really mesmerized by your traditional art recently and I've wanted to see how you do it since I have to do more traditional art for my artclass. What things do you use for your artwork? Like, what type of paper, pens, markers .. I'm new to coloring tradional art and was curious to see what type of methods you use for doing your colors :S So a additional question if thats ok? Do you do your shading afterwards or leave spots free to then color in the shading? Thank you if you reply! Really love your work :D
Hihi! ^-^ I'm glad to hear that you're interested in traditional art!
I personally use a variety of materials depending on the type of artwork I'm creating
I mostly work with color pencils, but I started getting into markers recently!
For pencil art I've been using the Faber Castell Supersoft pencils, and for markers, I use alcohol-based markers like Copic Sketch or Kurecolor
And the latest tradi drawings you see on my TH were drawn with POSCA paint markers
I don't tend to use pens for line wotk often because my pulse is really bad ;sob; so I line with color pencils most of the time
I prefer to use textured Mixed-Media paper 200gms (or higher) it has a slight fine grain texture that I personally really like, which is also common to find on watercolor paper
I usually color in layers, starting with the lighter colors and building up to the darker ones
As for shading, it depends on the piece, sometimes I will leave areas open for shading, and other times I will do the shading afterwards
It really just depends on what works best for the piece and the effect I'm trying to achieve
Overall, when it comes to traditional art, experimentation is key
Don't be afraid to try different techniques and materials until you find what works best for you :D
Thank you for replying! And I see, I have watercolor paper at home and was going to try watercolor pens soon, but I really liked the last few drawings you posted since the texture of the markers looked nice so I might try to look into those :0
and I see!! Thank you for the tips ill try to keep that in mind :D Its just really impressive to me how you are able to work so detailed even on paper. And yeah I feel the pulse problem, was a reason i always feared traditional art since im afraid my lines just get messy beyond belief xD
Yay another fan art and this time it is your recent new main character SINGLE! This here was again experimental :p and it took me about two weeks because of issues of my art program x”0 but here it is! Hope you like it ^^
WOAH, I remember watching your animations and speedpaints on Youtube :OOOO YOUR ART AND ANIMATIONS ARE GODLY BTW!!!! :OOOOOOO!!!!!! /vpos /vgen
Hi Tere! I have a question; what musics did you use for for this video? I tried Shazam and I didn't get the same song q-q
Thank you!
waaa really?? at first I wouldn't know it was you, you've improve so much!
it really made me happy to see you draw Sesfi again, you drew him so beautifully!! the colors are so nice <3
also it's nice that seeing your old artwork bring you good memories ;w;
Thank you so much for the kind words and amazing art!!
TERENRY HOW DO YOU FRANKINSTIEN CODES SO PERFECTLY
Aw thank you ^_^
I don't make adopts every often, so I can't give you an estimate of when I'm gonna make them, I kinda post them spontaneously
because of that, I'd rather put effort in the designs I make, not a big fan of sketch / on-base adopts
I usually post adopts in batches of 4, so you might have the opportunity to grab one!
IM ...
okay. one week ago saw ur profile and art and was BLOWN away , i went to sleep and bro
i couldnt find ur profile in the morning and im telling you i SEARCHED
went on youtube to post a speedpaint , saw a 'paws and play' animation and hey this looks cool... wait one second . i go to the channel and HOLY SHIT !!
UR PFP !! subbed and never unsubbing now god ur style n everything i beautiful
How have you been Tere? Do you happen to know the names of the markers you use when making traditional art? I've been searching everywhere for the names but I don't know if they are exactly the ones you used. I have a feeling they are called Alcohol markers but I have no idea TwT
Heyo Tere!I saw this video of yours on YouTube and I was wondering what song you used for it https://youtu.be/pxmoTe6tGU0
Something i made not too long ago i hope you like it i went kind of experimental on this one ^^ and it is ur boi koma Xp
Hi Terenry.... i know your a self-taught artist, but may I ask how you learned to draw backgrounds so beautifully, not even gonna lie, I've never seen anyone draw anything so detailed and so artistically before, and you do it in such a short time as well, its really impressive what you do! You're really talented and I hope one day you can reach the highest point you can go in your art, because if i was rich enough I would give you $1000 for each drawing, you include so many tiny details even for the smallest parts of your drawings. You are a serious inspiration for many people
omg thank you so much, that makes me so happy to read!! I really appreciate it and I'm glad you like my work
aa it's kinda hard to explain xD I guess that I was learning through observation and experience, and attempting to capture things the way I imagined(?
I always had a passion for backgrounds, it became my favorite part when drawing, so I think that also helped haha
I like to detail even to the smaller corner for sure! I feel that certain details that I incorporate in my art go unnoticed, like the snall details you say, so it's cool when they get noticed :o
Thank you again for your kind words, I still have a lot to learn and improve myself, but it makes me happy to share my art journey with others ^^
Wow your whole profile is so pretty! Did you do it yourself? I am struggling with figuring out the HTML stuff.
absolutely adore avia, e.b. and other members of that story! you've always been a huge inspiration to me and I cant wait to see all your new projects <3
Hey!! I have a quick question, I’m not sure what the x on your commission thing means, but I’m guessing unavailable lol. Will the chibis from the experimental ever open up again??
(Saw other comments and I’m pretty sure your birthday was recently so happy-late birthday!! :D)
Ayy i told you i got sm for you from yesterday XD anyways it has been like a year on when i did a happy birthday one x3 and now a year later here it is! hope you like it uwu
I love your artstyle!
How long have you been drawing like this digitally?
Hi Terenry, I love your art style, animation and characters. I wanted to be inspired by you so badly <3
hihhi !! i saw a video on youtube called "Nota Terenry" here n was i wondering where/what that place was? :0 it looks really cool waah (crys in i don't understand spanish ;-;)
Ayy another new fanart this time it's Kinuko ^<^ this here was a fun and simple art I made I hope you like it :p
I just wanna say how unique your amvs are imo, like it has an abstract info graphics style and I love it so much ;0; <3
Hihi Tere how do you feel about CSP becoming a subscription service in 2023 (oof right when you switched)
oh is it? I haven't been using CSP much lately, I still use SAI as my main program
I should look into that later, but aslkjd that sounds terrible :[
Hihi i have a question about your recent AMV Did you use another app for the Japanese text font? Or did you use the fonts from Flipaclip? Or did you just write them yourself?? A- I have no idea honestly XD, but if it is a font i’d like to see which one
I was wondering how you were able to make the characters galleries neat ?? Like the names of the sub galleries being centered :0 ?
Example : https://toyhou.se/2446999.aisu/gallery
It must be because of the css I'm using!
it is this one if you wanna check it out: https://toyhou.se/2964689.-p2u-peek
it's only for premium members though!
what was your inspirations for the cloak-like clothing of your ocs? I haven't seen a thing that looks like it irl :0
I absolutely love your content and art! you're seriously talented ^^
and I'm thinking of drawing your OC's if that's ok with you? just wanna double check if that's fine with you (if I do do it 😅)
Hi!! I’m back here again, i hope to ask you a question every once and a while, ill try my best to keep it low! From every art ive seen from you, your eyes are really unique as they go different in many shapes and forms just like in the real world where everybody is different, i love them! How exactly do you do them and colour them? My assumption is that once you make a brand new eye shape, you create different variations of that eye depending on different moods! The different colour variaties and such are really interesting ^^
woah thank you !! I'm happy to hear that ;w;
but yes! you pretty much described my process xD rather than base it on the mood, I try to adapt it with the character design using shapes
for example, my oc Avia, he's pretty chill and friendly guy, so for his eyes I mainly used rounded shapes that gives a pretty mellow looking, while making it simple to see the emotions through it
unlike my oc E.B, who's very energetic and carefree, so I used more angular and defined shapes that is supposed to make it more into the spiky looking and more dynamic design(?
I hope that makes sense xD
ooh!! That’s a cool concept!! Thank you for the answer, Tere!
Would you be able to recommend me shapes that would be fitting for a fragile, shy character? I’d love to experiment with your idea, but i need to see an example for the eye shape i need first :0
mmm most likely I would either use rounded shapes (ex1) or curved lines (ex2)
Well that's how I would do it, but you can definitely do it many different ways! It depends to which adapts better to your character and style
I'd recommend practicing with different shapes and not limit yourself to just 2 shapes, that's the best way to learn and understand what works out better for you! :3
Helloo! wSKDJ glad you think so! I actually don't listen to much vocaloid music myself, but I really enjoy animating to those songs for some reason skjd
but some japanese/vocaloid artists I look up to are; Kairiki Bear, MARETU, REOL, E ve, Tsukuyomi, ZUTOMAYO, Mafumafu, SEVENTHLINKS, and syudou
I hope that you can find some nice music!
I also recommend checking the YouTube Mix playlists! it'll usually recommend you a lot of similar songs, and I tend to use that a lot to find new music òwó
also sobsss thank you for your kind words, it makes me so happy knowing people appreciate my work !!
Dude can I just say how absolutely magnificent your art is? The shading and art style is so beautiful, and your animations are really eye-catching and smooth. You’re a huge inspo to me, keep up the great work! ^^ /gen /pos
do you plan on accepting da points the next time yiu open commissions? sorry if this seems rude or sm jdjdjdjd i just have some leftover points and i love your art
Hi sorry for putting my fan art here I hope it’s not a bother to you :’p but this features your oc Zei I wanted to make like a space ominous feel to it ^^
There is more wip that I wanna get done of featuring some of your other characters uwu
Translation - guide to the right path
SOBSOBSS THIS LOOKS INCREDIBLE!!
I really like that you've chosen blue tones for the backgrounds and have a very clear sense of contrast between the main characters and the ominous blue environment and light : o
the expression on Zei is also perfectly captured!
you've made a really good job with it, thank you so much!!
also aa can't wait to see what else you create, I appreciate the gifts very much!
I do! :3 you can find my comm prices here: https://toyhou.se/6987839.commission-prices
currently commissions are closed!
Hi woa i drew hinari too cause they are like one of my favorite designs youve made😭😭
Also sorry 4 posting this twice i needed to fix something on the image
WJAKWJA THIS IS SO NICE??? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE WAY YOU DREW IT!!
THE SHADING AND LIGHTING LOOKS FANTASTIC, really like the pose and expression too sdjks
its just too good, thank you so much!!! ;0; <3
HRHDHSH np im glad u like it <:DD
I’ve switched accounts btw, so sorry to ask but can you change the artist credit on the image to my new account : nooble ? 🤧
hello tere! I love your art, and while im working on mine, my main question is: how do you shade? more specifically, parts of fur and hair? It means alot to me to say that you have been the one to inspire me on creating art, so i thank you for that! >w<
sdjk thank youu!! i'm so glad to hear that c:
I have very inconsistent shading WAJHWS it really depends on the style of drawing
but in the most basic form, I usually use 3 tones, dark, mid, and light shades
I use mid tones for the base color of the shading, add depth/details with dark tones, usually around the edges, and add some lights in like the inner parts of the shading, if that makes sense sjkd
i'm not too good at explaining but I hope that helps xD
umm it's kind of a long process xD but in the most basic form
I draw the silhouette of the tree with flat colors first
as for the trunk, I use a soft darker tone to paint the base of the details
and then refine the details with even a darker tone to add more depth to the initial details, and later add some highlights with a lighter tone
as for the leaves, it's pretty much the same process
use a soft dark tone for the base of the details, and refine with a darker tone and add highlights
I tend to draw each leaf one by one manually
this is kind of an old example but still works uvu-b
imM SJDKSDKLFJFG THAT'S SO NICE?? THANK YOU SO MUCH,,,
it really means a lot when people appreciate my work and support it!
I really appreciate this message and all of your kind words !! and it's always nice to know that I inspired someone to draw or to create in the first place!! that's just so cool,,
you're really awesome as well, thanks again i'm really glad that you enjoy my work ; w ; <3
Oooh I really like your new profile ! Especially with the tabs, it's a very good idea !^^
Thanks!! I really like using tabs, I have them for my characters, so I thought I'd add some for my profile too xD
Tabs are just the best form of navigation for a website, I totally understand that ! XD
(I just need to understand how to properly code those here :,))
aa I see, actually these tutorials helped me a lot to understand them
maybe you'll find these useful! ^_^
https://toyhou.se/10988784.adding-tabs-tutorial
https://toyhou.se/4547628.coding-resources-3
I don't know if I am allowed to ask about your coding for your character profiles. But I am only interested in the videos tab because I have ocs who have videos that I would like to add to their toyhouse and being able to easily click. Is there anything similar to your code that I could maybe use ? or just your code for it ?
I've frankenstein-ed my character profile with different codes! but I don't think I'm allowed to redistribute the edited version though :(
but if you're specifically referring to the video player, it's pretty much just a video embed
you can right click on a video and copy the embed code, and then add it to your character profile!
and use the following code to center the video player:
<div style="text-align:center;">
<div style="display: inline-block;">
wow ur one of my favorite artists/animators :0 didn’t know u had a toyhouse account lol
also ur arts really cool sdfghjkl;
Hey! I wanted to know what is your character design process? how do you know if there's enough colours or details and how do you choose colours for the lighting and shading, like in the Everything black AMV. sorry for so many questions. thx Tere
umM well I don't consider my process nothing special :0
I pretty much draw the base character, and then add the details as I go
I would explain further but I simply don't know skldjsc it's just like a natural thing
the shading process I used in the animation was the following: some frames had like 2 layers of shading, then 1 layer of color correction, 1 soft contrast/lighting layer, 1 layer to change the lineart color and 1 layer of lighting, like on this example
here's me shading 1 frame lul https://youtu.be/PeWGa863eZc
hey I'm so happy to hear that! ^^
I actually don't make music playlists;; I tend to follow individual artists or music channels instead
some music used in my videos sometimes differs a bit from my actual music taste, so I'm not sure if we're talking about the same music style
I'm really into Jazz, Dubstep and Instrumental music
I could recommend some artists if you're interested though!

that's all!! I hope this'll help you find some cool musics uvu-b
I'm a bit more hesitant about it, maybe its just too close to my ref sheet format and I don't want people to get confused? It's just a small thing that's become quite a bit of a signature of mine
kinda trying to offer something different and notable that'd help to identify my type of sheet
I'm not saying you can't do it though, something similar as longs as it isn't the same is okay!
hihi, just here to ask about when your commissions will be open? not anytime specific, just wondering how soon it will be so i can be prepared :')
also do you like fish
oh I did actually made some sort of tutorial a while ago!
the process is simple, it's pretty much just drawing lines for the main details, what you need to focus about is color and depth
here is a small example on how I draw wood
this can apply to any kind of wooden structure, so I hope it helps! ^_^
oh if you meant the CSS, it's actually a P2U code! here it is in case you wanna check it out https://toyhou.se/2964689.-p2u-peek
but if you meant the HTML itself, I did code it myself, but I don't have a clean version of it ;o;
Hey!! I probably should've asked you before but after reading your rules again I was wondering if people could take inspiration from how you layout your reference sheets? Not the characters in them, just the reference sheets themselves? Because they're really well laid out :0! It might sound unreasonable but I wanted to make sure?
