tidying up and question
should i tag the major fandom my OCs are in?

but yeah, along with new name and profile, my keeps are now in a folder called "ionoi hetairoi" and some characters got condensed into one (namely if they're shipped together or if their story is so... entwined?) and my trade is based off of the assassin of 100 faces...
there's a theme obviously with my new name haha

Just Another Promise is a new BNHA roleplay... set 200 years before the series! At the dawn of the age of quirks, tensions run high between the few with quirks and those without. Can you rise above and save people or will you be the cause of more problems?
Instead of coming with pre made quirks, you are actually assigned one, because you're a member of the first generation.

Have some updates on my life:
- I'm trying to get rid of designs I don't use. This is easier said than done. If I have a design you love (even if they're not in my taking offers folder) let me know. IDK if I'll trade but ill try. (BTW theres a freebie folder. Feel free to take one, even if you grabbed one last week)
- Modding is hard. It can be rewarding but it's mostly hard. Note to self: next time put more time between events.
- And because I hate myself, I'm finally getting my Fate/ based RP set up. Because I'm a dweeb and have been wanting to use the name F/itS for like... 4 years now
- I am Setsuna is frustrating and I love it
- It's almost mid January and I'm only now contemplating what the hell I'm getting my friends for Christmas
- I'm always down for headcanoning. Whether it's about our characters relationships or just the characters, or even canons, I am good. Hell, i am even up to help headcanon your chaarcters, no relationship needed. Role-playing 1×1 is hit or miss - and unless you're being creepy and trying to pulls NSFW AFTER BEING TOLD I WASN'T OKAY WITH IT (I think I complained about that incident on a server, wasn't anyone on Toyhou.se no worries), the reason why it's a miss will be 100% mine. I love writing and role-playing. I'm just shit at role-playing with a person. I lose things, get distracted and the like.
- Speaking of characters, I need to fix my character profiles
- And I'm writing one BNHA fanfic thsys actually posted. I plan to write another one that will actually be a oneshot. And I'm gonna pick up one of my DCMK ideas.
- I have a commission currently being worked on. I forgot DMMd is on my old laptop rip
- And Cosmic Number Productions kept it's apple license. And the Guide for Catcalling got approved so I'll be posting links to it soon

I didn't think I would need to say this but after a recent experience on a discord RP, I guess I have to.
It's just... good manners to ask if the other party is okay before making their character do something.
It is also good manners to ask if you want to repost their character.
For the record, if anyone sees shion being used by anyone else, please report and let me know. No one has my permission to use her. Hell, there's only two people who have pretty much a carte Blanche to most of my characters - my cousin and business partner (who is very rarely on TH) and my best friend (who never is on TH and only uses my OCs as side characters in her writing). Anyone else is a case by case basis and that person would be listed on the characters TH.
This is what prompted it:
It took a bit before I could respond to them but I DM'd them and this was how it went...
Me: Hi! So uh, not wanting to add to drama in the chat so I'm messaging you directlt.
I'm generally okay with people liking my OCs but if you're reposting it anywhere, it's nice if you ask and let me know prior to doing so ??
IDK if you're claiming Shion as yours or are just showing her off, but if it's the former, that's not cool, esp since I spent over an hour writing her up and her art is by a friend of mine. If it's the latter and you're just showing her off like "look at this cool OC someone has in another server" it would still be courteous if you ask first, esp if I'm not in that server.
Them: Hm, you don't even know the full story.
Me: Even without the full story, it's still a nice thing to ask first before using. Even if it's just as a side character in the background in another RP.
Them: Ok,
Me: So yeah. Even if it's just "borrowing" and the plot is very different than what we have going on in the BNHA RP server, you shouldn't do it without asking permission. That would have made the situation very different and King wouldn't have gotten on you in server :/
Them: I'm sorry, but that doesn't mean I won't do it again 😉

Me: Look, it's nice that you like my character but I don't feel comfortable someone just using her without asking unless they're someone who I have already worked with in the past

By saying -"I'm sorry, but that doesn't mean I won't do it again wink" just means that you are failing to understand why I'm upset.
The RP community works by having rules, one of which is that the theft of characters is a gross offense.
I do not feel comfortable with you using my characters at all, even if it's mentioning them, outside of servers we share without my express permission on each instance.
I - and the artist I commission - work hard to bring my characters to life and I loke having some control over who sees them at any given time. By introducing her in any way, shape or form, without my knowledge was a huge insult to me, my friends who draw her, and my character and it's something I do not want happening again.
Them: Hm, are those threats?
At that I went straight to the owner of the RP and requested that my character be taken off the roster and left the server, so I couldn't respond but it would have been something like
"I didn't threaten anything - just stated that I prefer having control over my characters. But if needed I will certainly take the time and effort to let people know that I do not tolerate character theft in any capacity, esp not of my own"
Omfg if you're in a couple of channels I'm in, you probably already heard this but:
Please respect a characters owner. If they request that you don't gift them art as a surprise or request that you ask them first RESPECT THEIR WISHES.
Especially if they tell you that surprises effect their mental health.
What prompted this was a response on a status a friend of mine posted and the response they received.
Idk what's wrong with the other user and why it's so hard to understand that just because they are okay with any kind of gift art of their characters, other artists might not and that's okay. Their posts show how grossly ignorant they are and I just.... ugh. (Edit: wow, I now feel like I can curse them out with no problem because of what they said here)
Look, you can have your opinion but you should respect others and not try to bully or guilt them into your POV because that makes you a POS who no longer deserves to have their opinion left unquestioned.
I don't have a huge beef with the otherkin community as a whole, just certain people who skeeve me right off...
But considering the drama recently I would like to make it clear:
feel free to enjoy my characters and relate to them but DO NOT kin as them.
Please.
And if you feel you really have to for your mental health hmu privately, let me know which character and why???
Because if you resonate that strongly with certain ones, I would be way more comfortable trading/selling/giving them to you so you have control over what you feel.
If you see any of my characters being used by those who are not me (either their art, or as OCs or face claims, or as kin) please let me know via PM or discord or Twitter or something!
